So, for the 18 people that rated it the worst game in the entire world, could you please PM me with some feedback, or comment here, so I can make it better than absolute feces? Thanks!
I actually thought it was great. Thinking hypothetically, they might vote lowly because they were offended, didn't like the vulgarity, were too stupid to use objects, or they were just trolling in general.
Why would they do that? Although, I must admit that at first I thought it was really linear because I only played the shelter paths because the one time I didn't I got killed, but after that I realized that the story was rediculously expansive and enjoyable to boot. Even before I discovered the other branches, I gave it either a seven or an eight because of how well written it was.
I guess some people just got bored with Snow. I did, but I vote on how much thought and how well written I think the story is.
Frustration could also be a factor. I've heard people claim they rated low on that game because of the ending. And of course, it is after witnessing the ending that they give the game its rating.
I forgot to mention that I was talking about Homo Perfectus 3. Silly me

I can see that, that would fall into the too stupid to use items branch I suggested to madglee. However, you posted a tutorial in the game on how to use the powers, so they would have to be perty stupid to not know how.
I meant the ending regarding "his" fate during the super heroic ending. I'm trying to be subtle enough not to spoil it for anyone. But yes, there have also been people who didn't understand the power-item system. There were even people who didn't understand that they had to pick it up in the beginning of each HP game. And HP 2 got some low ratings because of that.

I gave it a four because of the shortness of it and how depressing it is. I go on here to have fun not be depressed. But this is getting off topic.

No I gave it a 4 due to shortness and none diverse paths. If it was long and sad it would have gotten a 6 or 7. Yes how I feel at the end does effect my ratting.
i rate on how strongly i was effected by the story, if it moved me or changed the way think, then it will be given a higher score. it being short is irrelevent. quality over quanity any day.
If there is diversity I don't care about the length but no diversity length than becomes important.

Yes which both involve practically the same thing only slightly different.
its a short story with short pages, the theme doesnt change because the desired form of pathos is supposed to remain constant. therefore all ending need to be similar to ensure the same emotional mark dispite the players choices while allowing there to be some form of individualism in the ending reached.

As I said is the little to no diversity to the story and because of Bo's arguments I changed my rating to a 5. This just my opinion and you guys are doing little to nothing on changing it.

No I refuse to agree with you on changing my position but you passionate argument for it made me change my rating slightly. I am just going to say I agree to disagree on this argument.
I wasn't passionate at all actually, I just put maybe one or two posts explaining my point of view lol. If anything Ugi and 3J were passionate, and I agree with them, you can't vote a four because you disagree with depressing stories. ... Well, actually you can, just never become a professional critic.

Length shouldn't matter, as long as it is a good story, which it is. The voting, like Ugi said, should be based on Quality over Quantity.
I've had two of the endings, and I don't know what the secret scene is, but I think I got it.
Notice everything is length. No one agures the no diversty except for uglick. The path was to linner I nocked off 1 point for length one for none diversity and one for depressing equals a 5 ratting
I have found 2 endings the secret secen but no happy ones.

it needs to have the desired effect, it was supposed to make you feel depressed, but it made you happy, then there is a problem, with either you, or the story.
... If you don't mind a depressing story, but you don't like it because it made depressed, then chances are you don't like a depressign story.

I think its more opinion based than logic, really. Now that I think about it, the rating system should be based off of what you (as in the reader) think of the story. If the reader is going to be criticized because of the way he views stories, why should he/she rate in the first place? So he can get picked on for expressing his views? Basically, my point is that we shouldn't criticize or make fun of Cool because of his choice of ratings. I know I also said that you shouldn't rate poorly because a story is depressing, but that is just my opinion and I would like to withdraw that from the actual argument.

I actually disagree, but thats another argument, if you want to get into it thats fine though lol. I was simply stating what I now think, the choice to argue is completely the other person's perrogative, although if they do it would be my fault, if that makes sense.
