Implementing an Easter Egg

Hey guys, it's me, the Noobish writer. Does anybody have any tips on putting an Easter egg in your story? Any help would be great.

I don't understand. An easter egg is just an inside joke. There's no tips involved in that...

Or are you asking about what kinds or something?

I mean, like a secret thing the player can find in the storygame. Sorry, did not make myself clear on that.

So, basically a secret ending.

I dunno. Secret endings are just another combo of choices.

The most sneaky way would be to give them an item, then if it's used on a specific page, it brings them into a secret storyline with the hidden ending.

Yes, that's what I'm going for :D

You're going to want it to be something unique to this site, but you also want it to be something that most of the people who play the game will get.

One thing you can do is make a link that will ultimately take the player back to the same page, unless the player uses it an absurd number of times, in which case it will trigger a secret ending.

I know a good, u I unique trope I will use in my story. BTW it is horror, sci-fi, AND action. Thanks for the advice! But I need help with one thing:

How do you make it that if the player has certain items, and if they hit an otherwise normal link they go to a different page?

Under the link variables (stop sign to the left of link) there should be an option for items has/doesn't have
