I am writing a large extension to that fairy story thing I started. I need to break it up into chapters, determine to what extent (and how on earth) I should use advanced editor, and write at least a page a day. My goal is to have a major branch done before the end of June. I will post on this at least once a week with an update and occasionally with snippets of writing for some grammar/[does that sound weird' feedback. Or, you know, to flaunt a passage I'm proud of. 

Glad to hear you're doing more with that one! I'll be following along with interest. How big are you thinking the final story will be?

Honestly the basic setting and concept you had there could work for all kinds of stories. Just see...most fairy tales. Fairy tale logic and settings seem fairly consistent, and there's endless stories possible by swapping the familiar elements around.

I should really get me one of these motivation/accountability/whatever threads. Easter weekend completely wiped me out and I'm still struggling to get back on some kind of routine for my writing.

I'm planning four major branches and the one I'm working on right now involves the Sidhe court so it might get pretty big.

Yeah, I'm bad with routines in the first place which is why I'm trying this out!

P.S. If you need any help with the advanced editor, I can walk you through the basics I've learned so far, if you would like. I highly recommend using it. Makes it simpler, at least for me. (Or just stick with the basic one if you are more comfortable with it.) Anyways, just let me know if you do need help with it. Or with proofreading! I love your writing style, well what I've seen of it. :)

Thank you for the offer! I'll probably take you up on that once I get to the nitty-gritty stuff. I know I need to use advanced editor for at least two parts of the game, but computers aren't my strong suit...

Go Bilbo! Your writing is amazing, as shown from your storygames and 'Quiller contests'. Can't wait for it. Tbh I have no help to offer, just listen to the others XD.

Update:

Today I found a great source about early Germanic mythology and I'm still looking for more info on Celtic Fairies (the sidhe) to incorporate so that this fairy tale is the most fairy-ish fairy tale since the Grimm brothers. 

I have a loose outline that leaves me some room to play around with ideas, but it gives me enough to have daily writing prompts for the next two weeks. Tomorrow starts the daily pages.

I also discovered that the 'Tab' button lets me scroll to the top of pages instantly. The more you know.
