Writing too much?

Well, since I've begun writing my first storygame, I encountered something that I would like to address. Several writer friends often complain about "writer's block" and about not knowing what to write. I always found this funny since I NEVER had that happenign to me. This, however, has led me into another problem potentially as bad as not writing. Writing way too much. I feel that I over-do it sometimes and it seriously worries me. In your opinion, how much is acceptable to write on a page?

If the sentence adds to characterization or advances the plot in a meaningful way, then it has a place. Otherwise, it should be scrapped. This goes for every sentence in the story, even the words in the sentences really.

Give us an example. Writing too much by itself isn't bad unless it results in poor writing.

Read "The Eye of Argon" by Jim Theis.

Now do your best to avoid "The Eye of Argon" by Jim Theis.

You're welcome.

Just write away freely while you're in the zone, but accept that it's a rough draft and that you'll have to go back over it with an axe a time or two and show no mercy for anything that's just padding.

Otherwise, write as much on the page as you need to to get the needed information across with clarity. Keep in mind you don't have to end every page with a choice though and so if you're worried it's a wall of text situation, look for a natural place to split it off to the next.
