Queer Tales for Austic Folk is a choose your own story telling show written and performed by Cerys Bradley, with support from lots of wonderful creative people including Amy Greaves, Adam Larter, Beth Watson, Steffan Alun, and Mikey Bligh Smith. It was produced by Ingenious Fools for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as a WIP in progress in 2024 and will be performed at Edinburgh Fringe 2025 every day (except 14th) in Underbelly at 2:45pm.
The show will then tour the UK (find out if it's coming to a town near you via https://www.cerysbradley.com/queer-tales-for-autistic-folk)
This story right here right now is the first half of the show. I have uploaded it here so that people who have watched and enjoyed the show can play through the parts that were not performed at the performance that they watched. There are some bits that don't quite make sense outside of a live show and I've tried to add footnotes and [] to accomodate for this.
If you're looking for a fun cyoa story to play through today, this one might not make a lot of sense if you haven't seen the show. I still encourage you to give it a go though! Maybe it will make you want to come and see Queer Tales sometime... (As I said, you can see where we're performing next on my website please do check that out I have so many shows booked in I have to sell so many tickets oh my goodness.)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this thinly veiled/barely disguised/who are you fooling you couldn't do subtle if it stabbed you with a knife metaphor for being an undiagnosed neuroqueer in a straight laced neocapitalist cubicle.
