Aero, a 14-year-old inhabitant of the village of Albritton, wants nothing more than to read his enthralling storybooks in peace. When he hears of a Golem wandering in the forests near his village, he is more than happy to let the professionals deal with it, while staying within the comfort of his home.
Unfortunately for him, his adventurous brother, Ignis, has other plans.
Author's note: If you want to collect all endings, then there are six of them: The Wise, The Mourner, The Cleaner, The Knight, The Skeptic and The Magician. Certain choices don't have immediate effects but may influence the endings. Also, certain endings can be reached through multiple different paths.

Most would be willing to trade a great deal to catch a glimpse of what the future holds. Hannah de Reade, however, has spent her time in Lumintrone ignoring the omens that she sees in her prophetic dreams. All she wanted was some semblance of normalcy.
But when her dreams warn her of a daemonic plot, she is compelled to act against it, leading her to be invited as an honored guest to the Imperial Castle.
However, in a court filled with dark secrets, are her eyes that can pierce through fallacies truly a gift or a curse? You will have to take Hannah's side and guide her through this ordeal that will forever change her fate.
And perhaps you will change the fate of Lumina itself in the process.
---
Author's note: There are nine endings. I highly recommend reaching multiple endings since you may not be able to experience the entirety of the plot with one read. While they are not central to the story, I should also warn that themes of domestic abuse and graphic violence are present in it.

Fear is more than a feeling on 12/23/2025 4:18:01 AM
If this is part of a larger work then a little mystery is fine. I would just say that a description of what B.E.N.T.H.A.M looks like when you are describing something cleaning its eyes should suffice. I just found it hard to visualize the scene without knowing the appearance and size of what it was.
As for the monster being born of paranoia... I considered it but then dismissed the idea since by my understanding of the rules of Noematurgy, both Steven and Fritz would've had to imagine the same thing for the monster to be able to materialize properly. Maybe if both Steven and Fritz had a common experience in the past with some similar fog monster or if Fritz showed Steven a picture of the monster, it would help bolster the idea that they were both paranoid about the same thing.

Hey there! This seemed like a pretty interesting passage so I thought I'd give it a read. Normally people post stuff here looking for feedback so I'm just gonna assume that and jot some of my thoughts down.
1. Noematurgy seems like an interesting concept relating to the manifestation of thoughts. A world built around such a concept would be quite an intriguing one. I also like how grounded the system seems to be as well with clearly defined rules. Just one thing, you should probably decide on how you want to spell Noematurgy. Pretty sure I also saw Noemuturgy and Neurmotological (which would imply that the root word was Neurmotology).
2. There's a bit of a dissonance when the professor assumes that the students wouldn't study. From what I could tell, they were pretty responsive when he asked them questions and even gave correct answers. If you wanted to make the students seem like they didn't care, it would've been better for them to have them not answer the professor/answer incorrectly.
3. I like the subtle implication that the class made the bell ring. That was very neatly done.
4. The hydro farming floating city once again is quite intriguing but at this point the story starts throwing a bunch of words without much context to define them. B.E.N.T.H.A.M I'm assuming is some sort of AI overlord governing this city known as The Watch? I have no idea what an Abaki is though.
5. I'm not really sure what the ending was about. It didn't seem very related to the story's beginning.

Hilarious that goodnight's secret santa's clue was that they procrastinate a lot when they were one of the first gifters. XD
List 2 books, one you love and one you hate. on 12/23/2025 12:43:12 AM
It's the other way around actually. Don't get me wrong, I do love Mistborn's world building and characters. It's just that the ending seemed to come out of nowhere. It didn't really use much of the elements that it set up. I only picked up the book at the recommendation of my cousin so I haven't really read the sequels yet.
And Then There Were None's ending was surprising too but in a good way. It could just be because I read it when I was significantly younger but I found it hard to predict how the story was going to go, which in turn made it quite an unforgettable suspenseful experience.

Sure, I guess I'll play.
And then there were none - Agatha Christie.
Mistborn - Brandon Sanderson

It'll show up when you reach an ending in a storygame. I'm sure everyone will agree that this is the only way to do it.

If we are coming up with rulesets, I say it should be one that checks if the user can handle deadlines. E.g. Avo has participated in multiple thunderdomes without flaking, and she submitted a valid story for the edutainment contest. That makes her trustworthy enough imo.
Secret Talent? (other than writing lol) on 12/16/2025 11:46:08 AM
Oversimplifying a little bit, but its basically billiards on a square table with four pockets. The balls are replaced with flat coins and you flick coins with your finger instead of using a billiards stick.

Why read forums when you can read (and hopefully rate and review) storygames? :D
