my only true complaint is that i wish there were more. it feels sort of like a draft. in every line and subtle character build i can see the makings of a truly interesting period piece. it Physically pains me that this game is so short.

i feel like it's really short and there aren't really many choices to pick from. its not really interesting and didnt draw me in. sorry, not my type of story. try making more choices and give characters more characteristics

Obviously, as some of the other comments have said, you posted this rather quickly and it does show but I'll treat it like a rushed contest entry in order to give this story a fair shakedown. It needs polishing for sure, you could've delved a bit deeper into each of the characters instead of just giving a generic trait to each and calling it a day. This leads to a simple story with basic choices but something that isn't horrible to read through and even a little fun. There are a few instances, like "Rather long in the tooth" that struck me as very unique sentences that kept me entertained and reading. Overall, this story was quite whimsical and just needs some polishing up. Spending some serious time with it may help it mature into a modern day fairytale. If you ever see this, come back and fix it up!

Super boring, not interesting at all

Fun! Grammar and sentence phrasing is lacking at times, and the story is fun.

It was alright for what it was, but there wasn't much to it. I'd be more interested in it if the characters were expanded, and there was more buildup and description before you married them.

I don't much like romance, bu this is actually pretty damn good. I do think the Maturity should be moved up, though, getting drunk isn't much of a good concept for six-year-olds. Not that many would read this, but still mentioning it.

There were lots of capitalization, grammar, and spelling errors. Like, lots and lots. Other than that, I kinda liked it. Except for the part where you can lose on the first page. That always takes a few points away from storygames.

I would suggest reading a few guides or something, because this could be made much, much better.

I get that the author tried to mimic the feel of Jane Austin and Pride and Prejudice but it kinda falls flat on that front since the game is too short for you to really sink into that “feel”. Or maybe it’s just me?

It's a bit short, but I like the fact that there was no violence and makes people calm.

I just think that the other choice should also be wider. It's not all women who dreams rich and tall handsome men. There are also some who'd want to experience what it's like living with someone so opposite and yet so intriguing.

While it is rather short, I've seen and read enough Austen works to appreciate the references in this piece. You have a lot of the phrases and conceits down pat, and the anachronisms are highly entertaining. I just wish there was more.

Pretty short. Consider making it longer for the reader to understand the characters more and for it to be more interesting. When you're doing a story for romance/love/dating, character development is probably the most important, because that's how you evoke emotion.

Also, I'm a bit confused; are you going for modern or historical? Because it doesn't really make sense to have a bunch of anachronistic elements unless you have a good reason for it. Keep in mind that the language, vocabulary, and dialogue need to match the setting, especially if the setting is a different time period.

Hey there! :-). Great story! I am glad I picked mister Dow (or however you pronounce it). He truly seemed like the gentlemen. Glad my character had a happy ending. :-). This game havs confirmed in my mind, that inner beauty shines over outer beauty, even in the dating world.

Hmm, I rather enjoyed this story :3 If only happily ever after endings were always this easy to obtain outside of the world of literature.

I quite enjoyed this, Jane Austen with a modern twist :D The sense of humour was fun, the odd clash between modern and Georgian in both the subjects and the writing was interesting (though at times the change in writing styles was a bit jarring, Womp Womp?) and overall this seemed quite fun in a Pride and Prejudice and Zombies kind of way :D

8/8 would drink soft drinks again.

Hahaha, could be longer (Normally you're discouraged from publishing the same day you join, a good game takes time), but this was more interesting than most of the stuff posted in this section.

Punctuation and capitalization starts falling apart towards the end so I'd recommend taking this down a few minutes for a proofread and polish.

Expect possible complaints from those too uptight to get into the spirit of being taken off their father's hands. Also, there's a Jane Austen MMO, everjane.com this put me in mind of lol, might be something you'd enjoy.
