Player Comments on Mario's Adventure Island 2, Wario's Revenge

Although the premise is interesting and you get a sense of where the story is taking place, the strange grammar and switching tenses make it quite the job to read. It seems to rebranch often.

It's obviously not a story to take seriously, but very minimal effort has been put into it. The combat scenes were done decently enough.

Grammar is the biggest problem! Story does have potential though.

This game suffers from much the same pitfalls as your last game.

First of all, while I can see some slight improvement from your last game, the grammar is still pretty much just as awful as it was before, which doesn't help very much.

Second of all, this game is supposed to have multiple choices, not to simply force you into a linear story, so there's that.

Third of all, the same problem as before, there's a very big lack of story here that simply tells me to go rescue Luigi from Wario and Waluigi and while again, I know that the original Mario games didn't have that much story either, this is a storygame, it is supposed to have a STORY.

Again, I rate this game a 2/8.

Well, it did make me laugh at how much it railroaded me back to a linear path.

It was okaay .. but with a little more choice it would have been goooood !

Bored the hell out of me, but in all fairness, making an interesting story about Mario isn't easy because... well, unless you look pretty deeply into things (which leads to horrifying revelations like: he trained DK as a circus animal and abused him with fire, causing him to go rouge and kidnap Mario's previous girlfriend--a sluttier broad than Peach, named Pauline--which led to DK's capture, then DK jr's attempted rescue of him... and during the lil' baby monkey's desperate rescue attempt, Mario tried to electrocute him with a friggin' WHIP...) there's not much personality there. xD

Oh yeah! Woo-hoo! Mario number one! Yah-hoo, here we go! I'ma gonna get you! I got you! Bye bye ^_^

Arrrgh, the spelling! Major out-of-character for Wario. Since when has he, or any Mario character for that matter, ever wanted to KILL? (You might say Bowser but let's be honest) Wario is only interested if there's money involved or if he gets a chance to show other people up and look good. Poor storytelling skills as well, little sense of flow. At least there were branches. I think. (I didn't actually read more than one branch so I'll just assume it isn't linear.)

Hmm... I'm a bit disappointed with this one two, seeing as I completed it in about the same amount of time. Everyone says the third one is better though, so I'll give it a read.

This is, yet again, a brilliant Mario spoof. It's filled with humour and fast-paced action scenes, containing many references to other Mario games. Definitely worth a look! (After you've completed the first one, otherwise you won't know how you save Princess Peach!)

Not bad, but I got a bit sick of choosing something and then being forced to go back and choose the other option - it would have been more "fun" to just die and start again - It would have been easier for whoever wrote the game to just make it a story! Apart from that, it was pretty good fun!

That game was grossly inacurrate. In my auto-biography, the chapter that deals with Mario's Adventure Island 2, Wario's Revenge clearly states that Wario got his revenge not by kipnapping Luigi, but by hitting me in the face with a cream pie. I can see why you changed it though; getting hit with a cream pie wouldn't make for a very good game.

It was okay, but there should have been more action, more options and it should be interesting. Try again next time!

Kind of good, but it could be better. If i could rate this, I would rate it 6/10 which is below average, but it's still kind of good.

I thought that this game needed to be quite a bit longer. Plus, if you make the wrong decision, the game tells you what you should do. Thats not really much fun.<br>Sorry....
