Perspective Shift

I'm working on something and I'd like outside perspective.

I begin by setting a scene with two characters, but at the end of it I allow players to choose which character to play as. My first instinct was to continue referring to the chosen character in 3rd person.

I now wonder if I should switch to second person once the character selection is made. You is much easier than using one of the character names repetitively - but in most fiction that's done anyways.
His/her vs "your" also.

Thoughts? Questions?

I'd say just go with whatever you're more comfortable writing, I wouldn't have an issue with either approach.

I definitely find the second person to be more captivating in CYOA. I think it's a great idea to switch from third to second once we pick the character. Will make us feel like we are zooming into their heads.

Ah, and thank you.

3rd I think allows the narrator to express uncertainty about the character and what she or he is feeling.

While 2nd does offer that zoomed in personalization that thrives in CYOA.

Decisions decisions.
