Player Comments on Apocalypse Then

The writing picks itself up with decent humor, but the story is vague and soulless. I feel like there are multiple ways to progress through the story by using the items just from my one playthrough, but the story itself needs to be more compelling and provide motivation other than the standard zombie apocalypse fare. If you expanded on the story and the resulting adventure this would score higher with me.

Lot of potential here and it was a good read - the writing was mature and there were some funny parts. I couldn't find a use for a lot of the items, though, so I must have missed something, and I pretty much found a house and ended the game without getting into any adventures. I did like the details you put into the work; e.g., the comments on the items.

This isn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination but it's lacking exactly that: Imagination. Your writing is alright, a few errors and typo's but no spectacular failures there, although nothing expansive. It's a little annoying that you got all your friends on here to play and they all gave you high ratings (when this is a 5 at best.. it's way too short and there's nothing special with it at all) but that's not really your fault. I like how you used the advanced editor but I'd like to see some more effort next time. This was just too short and bland.

Ehhh. Decent game I suppose. No real challenges and whilst the initial story blurb was funny, there really wasn't much humor (aside from the dialogue when you try to piss near the dead bodies). Maybe a 3/8

Lol, towards the beginning I tried to go to the hills with only the bike, and encountered a zombie. Used the bike item thinking I'd just ride past him, instead used the bike as a weapon and threw it at the zombie xD.

I really liked this. Though It's more of a puzzle than a horror really. And I really like that every death page was there for a reason and you had to use common sense. I didn't have to use the back button once throughout this. Good game. 5/8.

I like this one really.it's not bad, and I fugred out how to use the items. it could use a little bit more detail but with all the work you've done with the items I think I can let you pass on that statement. I like how if you try to take a leak it says something like 'do you do that every time you see a dead body?' or 'still trying to do that huh?"
I found that that was really funny. but it bugs be a litte that the opion 'Take a leak' or really just there to... I don't know really. . . well over all it's well made

A nice little story enjoyable, not too long, well written, well-rounded.

It would be nice to have a ammo counter or something, instead of finding a gun, firing a gun, then losing the gun. I know they are quite hard to do, but it would of made the survival aspect much better. But apart from all that, it was great!

I really enjoyed this survival game! Good use of items, even if many of them didn't get used (in my playthrough, at least). I liked the nutrition factor as well, made me feel like I had to prioritize some choices over others, instead of just randomly clicking things until something works.

Half the things you could do were pointless, the other half would kill you, I found a single way to go on without hitting a "dead-end" or dying. Utter crap.

Linear and little story, but it's not a bad first game. Not bad at all. Good grammar, and while the plot is ANOTHER ZOMBIE STORY, it's not unbearable. The Nutrition variable seemed unnecessary, and also, don't have people have to use items. Add a link instead - it makes everyone's life easier. Other than that, pretty good.

that was fun. However, a lil straightforward, maybe if you added some unexpected happenings to make it more challenging, or maybe add some riddles to make it more fun? But a cool game.

btw, the second time I went through, I took the early death link (the time I commented). I suggest never making a death link that early, btw.
