Well, there's not much here in terms of difficulty to say the least.

There's a interesting context here, but this story really lacks in complexity that it would've certainly benefited from. I wouldn't of minded actually having to think things through more to reach a conclusion, because I found the actual answer to be a bit too obvious at the end.

More details and writing in general would also have benefited this story. With a game like this I feel that its important to at least flesh out things and give the story some more depth and meaning to the situation.

There's really not much here in the end of the day, and I must say that's a bit of a let down.

Still, there's potential in this, that I believe. Just don't be afraid to get descriptive and imaginative with your writing, and don't make things so simple. Complexity in a game like this is a good thing, as it makes it more exciting if there's actual challenge involved in succeeding.

This was okay, but I can't say that this was too memorable.

This storygame was way too easy for it to be enjoyable. I knew who the culprit was after gaining two items. This style of puzzle, while it was a pretty good idea, might have worked better if it was a bit more complex.

I also didn't like how the game didn't explain why the 'evidence' that you find should be proof of somebody being the kidnapper. You found footprints from footwear that matches certain suspects, but so what? It could easily have been somebody who didn't kidnap Mr Allistair.

You could have done with fleshing out setting, mood and characters more, and just adding more detail in general. It would have made this a nicer read.

And for crying out loud, please spell colonel right.

Pls add some more stuff to it like a fight if you guess correctly and you must choose a weapon the options a kinfe,shovel,candelstick,or just call the police.Other than that IT IS AWESOME!

The story is very easy. The characters provide no evidence or hints to whoever the culprit is.

I would have liked to have more context and clues I guess

My story was over in two clicks and a guess.

Fun, but way too short and way too easy,

Not bad, but the suspects had nothing really important to say and the case is purely solved by the evidence that you found.

I mean, really it's a short, quick, game that doesn't overly stress you out and the reading is very straightforward, although I wish there may have been a little more red herrings, etc. to throw me off at least a little. But I'd say it's at least worth some of my time.

I think that murder mysteries is a good topic.

Only $100,000! I feel ripped off. This game cost me a whole 3 minutes of my time! what a rip-off.

This was a really interesting story, short sweet and really made me think

I used it in my English class and it was fun for my 12th grade students!

Thanks for making this based on Clue but keeping it rated G. I had hoped it would be a little more complicated. Why not include more rooms, characters, clues? Perhaps, there might be a future variation for advanced gamers.

It is Quite Fun for a an easy mystery

im the actual detective these events are based on and i have to say you really downplayed the amount of effort i went through to capture the kidnapper of st. montegomery. he plauged the town for quite a while and mr. a stair was the ifnal straw. i have to say that it took real deductive skills to use simple a used tissue to catch a crook. i sniffed the tissue myself and could tell that it was mr. plum. plum and phlegm both start with P so that explains that.

I got who it was after four rooms. That wasn’t the most fun game ever...

Short and sweet. Except just too short.

Easy — I solved it after finding 2 items — and not long enough. Still, it was okay, I suppose. 3/8.

The evidence finding aspect was fun, but the guess at the end felt as if it had no basis as the evidence finding had no time to develop

You know, I actually enjoyed that. I mean it was a very short game without much going on, but I'm just a sucker for a mystery. ^_^

As many have already pointed out, the game is much too easy and you can figure out who the culprit is with just a couple of clues, but for me, the main issue is that the clues don't really seem like they should be connected to the culprit.

Presumably, the crime only took place in one room... But the clues are found in various rooms, with no indication that they're related to the crime at all. For instance, one of the clues is a fingerprint in the Game Room... Presumably, there's going to be loads of finger prints in the game room. Why is that a clue? And the used tissue and the wedding ring. How do we know that they belong to the culprit? Somebody could've just dropped them there.

Weird thing to complain about I guess, but the clues just don't really seem like they should be clues to me, since none of them are actually related to the crime.

It seemed too short to fully enjoy its full potential. The clues seemed random or at the very least not connected. A good way to spend my 15 minutes.

A weak effort that was bashed out in about 40 minutes. Could have been decent if you'd actually put time and effort in. Also the clues were in no way proof of the kidnapper and I hope you never become a detective

This game is definitely not a 5/8 for difficulty. It’s an interesting idea, I’ll grant you that, but it didn’t allow for enough thought to make it an engaging mystery. My biggest complaint is that all the evidence was handed right to me- I would have enjoyed going around and finding who wears boots for myself, for example. We never even got to talk to some of the suspects. There should be opportunities to talk to everyone at least once. That would help add some length too! I think that with another round or two of edits, this could be really great, but right now there’s still quite a bit to be desired.

Instead of just telling use who the supects could be make us work for it. Like the ring had to belong to a male supect, but you just told us who was sick.

Maybe it could've been a bit more complex. Also it's Colonel, not Kernal. Congrats on pronouncing it right though.

I guessed who it was and it said I explained why based on the evidence though I found no evidence because I guessed, this story was also too short and felt monotone.

if you make a sequel please make it more difficult. i would love there to be ore depth and more characters and not as obvious evidence as listing it off but overall it was a great idea.

fun little game. Though I knew who it was after gathering one clue. So maybe a little longer would be good, Amd also the questions you asked all the suspects were pretty much the same so that got a bit boring. A little thought to add some challenge: What if you had to try to find out who the murderer was the fastest you can with as little clues possible. Anyways, an okay short game.

Also, this technically is a complete and utter rip off of Cluedo.

I felt like there should have been more options and character detail. Not all bad, though.

Interesting concept, well thought out, but could really do with more fleshing link- and branch wise. All in all...fun but a bit bare, not bad at all. 4/8

I like this game. I took a guess and got it my first time! I'm not telling you who it is though...

It was a little too easy for me. All I had to do was compare all the items and see who's name popped up the most and I got Mr.Plum's.

I'm sorry but how did the evidence point to Mr. Plum, except that he was sick, had a whorl fingerprint and wore boots? Does that make him the kidnapper?

i like the game of clue but in the ending isn't accepting the money considered a bribe?

Simple, but good. just a little too short, with the clues handed to you a little too much.
Instead of saying X,Y, and Z are sick, maybe have X, Y, and Z cough or sneeze while you're talking to them. Repeatedly. That might make for better cluesets.

Wasn't TERRIBLE, for a start. There wasn't too much detail, and giving the characters more prominent and interactive roles would have made it better. Being a fan of CLUE, I am a bit disappointed by the choice of detective work. Because (Suspect) owned all the items, they were automatically donned the criminal? That doesn't make too much sense. Also, add a bit of plot, and a story-line.

ummm.... the clues didn't really make any sense. There was no real depth to this game at all.

I'm not quite sure how any of those clues prove who did it...

It was... really short.

Well, only one of them was not able to help "me" when I asked them where I can find more clues.. It's kinda shady. And I got it right :D I actually have no idea how to use the clues though.

This was short and sweet; would have been enhanced by pictures and a bit of expanding of the story, but for what it was, not bad :)

Sure, it was fun and all, but...

I still think it could use more of an "in-character" point of view. How about changing the story so that it's like a real event? THAT would be really interesting.

I kind of liked it. I think you could of used some pictures of the suspects and made the mystery harder but overall it wasn't too bad.

Clue was one of my favorite games and books. This story was well-written, but too short and not very challenging. Also, it didn't make much sense that just because there were objects dropped around the house that they belonged to the kidnapper. Your writing and topic have potential, but a fan fiction of Clue could be done with greater development and creativity.

A little simple, but a nice little game =)

A little skimpy, the important clues where shoved down my throat and there was not much subtlety involved that most murder mysteries use.

An enjoyable game! I would like it if it were longer, but not bad! I loved how it required logic and it was fun. If you do another one, make it longer though! :)
