This game is set in The Court, which is ruled by Zaren. Time moves strangely here... As does everything else.

It's the first thing I've published. Please forgive it.

This isn't really a "true" storygame. All choices in it are really just false leads --  it all branches out and then returns to the trunk. Hopefully I'll come back to this one day. Fix it up, finish it, whatever. But for the time being... Enjoy what's there, I guess.

EDIT: I'm continuing work on this story via Choice Script:

This storygame was very... interesting. It reminded me very much of a dream, so much in fact that at some point I thought I might actually be dreaming. Most of the story I didn't understand anything, and it seemed like it was just dangling the answers it front of me for fun. When I got to the point where answers started showing up, I just thought, “Well that explains a lot,”. Eventually I came to the conclusion that this universe belongs to Zaren, who is a madman, and he can change reality. I thought maybe there was some way to overthrow his “government”. Again, very interesting. 5/8

Well, apart from a few typing/grammatical errors, it has a wonderful premise and some good descriptions. I find it intriguing, so I hope to see more of it. I'm also curious if you do go further, if you will use the advanced mode and have the weapon choices account for something.

An extremely engaging story, alive with wonderful detail, interesting characters, and foreboding atmosphere. It feels like a mix of Changeling and Twilight Zone with a childish and petty god (or is it Azathoth even?) in need of a sound walloping. The only real drawback in it all of course, is that it is unfinished. Completed, I would likely rate it among the highest and best of the entire site.

Id disagree with the ending note. While it may be short, so far, i think you did a great job of setting these characters and surrounding with enough mystery to almost forget about the few negatives. I will say though, that character development and their general attitudes might need some work.

I would keep working on this story

Quite an interesting read. Fanciful with a dark side, but more of a tinge of the ominous and bizarre than the flat-out horror that's more common these days. The dreamlike nature of the beautiful insanity contained in this Kingdom... Realm... whatever it may be is refreshing and stimulating to the mind and the senses. And is this a hint of the essence of the Yellow/Cthulhu Mythos that I sense? Marvelous. I dearly hope that this will be continued soon, and that it will continue to meet the fine expectations that I have for it.

It's an excellent start, but incomplete, so only a 5/8. I hope you make more like this though!

Not the best but not the worst. . .
