I enjoy history a lot, and am currently working on a full life simulation, which will tackle WWI, the prohibition, the great depression, WWII, the cold war, the Korean War, Vietnam, and possibly even up to 9/11 if you die of old age. I will also cover everyday aspects, like relationships. You will be able to have friends, enemies, lovers, children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. You will have scenarios that you can use to create a bond with them, or to tear up your relationship with them. I've only just started making it, and it probably won't be out for a very long time. Maybe like December 2023? Mostly I'm making the ultimate simulation, the one I've been craving my whole life.

Divorced, Beheaded and Died
This is a story game in which you play through the story of King Henry VIII's first of six wives, Catharine of Aragon. Can you manage to be the ONLY wife? (Probably not). (If this goes well, I will likely be expanding this into a series of storygames, telling the stories of all of King Henry's poor wives)

Life Through the Wars
This game is about the general time in history from your birth in 1908 to your eventual death. Life spans may follow average life span rules, though your life may end early due to the wars or the great depression or the influenza epidemic. I do not claim to be an expert at what I'm writing, and I am going both based off my own knowledge and research I will be conducting throughout the writing process of this game. Please keep in mind I am a human being and I make errors. I hope you enjoy my game!

Thank you so much! I am forever grateful to you for this help, as the command explanation in the forums was very overwhelming for a newer user.

Some of them will. for example, gender and hometown will affect your experiences growing up. As the story takes place between a large space of time, location will matter! the womens rights movements will affect characters, as well as if you choose to live in say, texas, the dust bowl will affect it. While I know I could do what most stories do and choose name, gender, and location for my players, the more personalized it will have to be. The names aren't so necessary, I suppose. That could easily be changed.

I understand that I've been ambitious, so I will be writing other stories before releasing what I really want.

I understand that it is very ambitious! I know this will take me months if not years to complete, so I will be writing other things in the meantime, both as a way to help me figure out adding stuff, and as a way to work on my writing and see what I could improve on, as I haven't had to write characters for any format other than a roleplay in about 4 years. I figured it was variables, but the instructions given by the site are hard to follow.

I want to give my players options, like where to live, what their name will be, their gender, etc. The only issue is, I don't know how to make these last. I assume I use variables, but I really don't know at all. This is my first storygame and I'm pretty sure I'm jumping in way over my head, but I need it to be perfect. The story I'm working on is a really long project, that will take players through their whole life. Starting with character birth in 1908 and taking them through till possible death of old age in the early 2000s. Though, as with anything, there's going to be many ways to die before then, and I really want to just know what I'm doing. I may be doing something way too advanced for me, but that's because I want this to be every storygame that I know I'd like to play.
