A man loses his fiance to cancer and struggles to make it through the day. He has medical debt, trouble at work, having to move to a new place, lots of shit thrown on his shit sandwhich. But at nights, he's confronted by the Thlípsi, a strange fragmented shadow monster that at times, seems to move like lightning, but at other times, moves like clayish sand. This story is a metaphorical examination of grief, a character study that takes place in the uncomfortable, macabre, and downright sad parts of the human psyche.
