fave pieces of media: cherry magic (see my username!), saiki k, svsss, jjba, a taste of gold and iron, ossan's love (og and hong kong but NOT the thai version nor the airplane remake. iykyk.), boys over flowers, brooklyn 99, the untamed
fun fact: i judge shows by their soundtracks more than anything

ah, yes, the subtleties of the subjunctive case. except that for certain command terms addressed towards an informal you, the word will shorten entirely, like so:
tener [to have] -> ten (the subjunctive is tenga, which you would use if using the command term in a more formal setting)
hacer [to do] -> haz (subjunctive: haga)
ir [to go] -> ven (bc it's weird and the subjunctive is vaya)
because those verbs are some of the most commonly used words in the language, they've been shortened throughout time to be the most compact and shoutable, like 'ven aqui' (come here) or 'ten cuidado' (be careful). language is a beautiful and complex thing ^_^

i'm not much of a poet or a cute image finder so here's a cute little story from last week:
one of my friends had a hallway crush on this guy who sits in our courtyard during lunch, and she wrote a letter to confess to him. my friend group and i hyped her up; i helped her decorate the letter and fold it into an origami heart to give to him. she was too shy to tell him in person so our whole group teamed up and slipped the letter onto the guy's desk before class one day. a couple hours later, he texted her and they hit it off talking about baking and gaming.
a bit of irl fluff that is too cute not to share!!!

this is oddly entertaining? i feel like i just read through one of those acid trip storygames, except the good endings are just everyone calling each other slurs...............
Hi everyone! on 2/19/2026 2:38:55 PM
Yes, I am a real noob (not a pretender) and no, Caelum's not my real name either (it's my pen name teehee) but thanks everyone for the advice! I'm working on a story that I'm really excited to share sometime soon!
Hi everyone! on 2/19/2026 11:47:33 AM
Hi! I'm Caelum and I'm a fairly new writer. I don't have any completed works yet (*OCs currently banging on the basement door*) but I'd love to contribute anyways! I'm so glad I discovered this little corner of the internet because I've been looking for a way to stay connected online without getting sucked into the pits of doomscrolling on [SNS platform of choice]. So hi everyone!
Also does anyone know how to access contests? Like is there a specific page or thread I need to go to? Thanks in advance!
