Okay, so the inclusion of a new paragraph tag, break line, or probably just about any other tag before the video will mean the video is not displayed on the front page, and therefore it does not break it.
Figured this out thanks to Briar being a subhuman RTE using whore, the only good thing the RTE has ever done for anyone. Thanks @Avery_Moore!
