A word count on the page you're writing on would be nice, just something small in the corner so I don't have to copy and paste to a google doc or something else to see how many words I wrote.

If you are using the advanced editor it gives you a word count in the lower right.

Why do you actually need this though?

I have trouble with word count a lot, I'll forget to be descriptive and elaborate on things. So I set word goals for each page. Usually the only thing I type my storygames on is just this site, so it would help me a little bit.
