This feature was rejected 7/1/2011: Nah. A linear tag A) encourages linear stories which I then have to unpublish and B) is already showing to be overly vague.

Heya gang, quick question. I don't think this will work, seeing as this is a CYS site, but I was thinking about this recently and didn't know where to turn. Should there be a tag for people who make linear stories (simply titled linear) in case they want to do a story based off of what actually happened? This isn't neccesary at all, I've just been thinking about it.

I don't know, a story on this site shouldn't be linear at all. But still, it would mean that making stories that are essentially like books (just about the reading and such), that was possible. It's a maybe on my account.

I agree stories that are like Death song should go in here. No it is not liner but there is only one true ending.

Maybe it's not just the ending that counts, but the content. If there are many ways to reach the ending, the experience as a whole will still be different for the reader, even though it always has the same ending.

Something that is not linear wouldn't get the linear tag -_-

Even if what was meant by "linear tag" was actually "branching-pathed story with only one good end" what would happen is people writing non-branching narratives.
