hi guys!

I'm a 23 year old Muslim woman who's just starting college this fall...I had to start late cause I've been working in my parents store. I love science fiction and fantasy and would like to start a choose your own adventure story if I can. Feel free to ask me any questions. I only ask that everyone come with an open mind. so exited to be trying this! laugh

Greetings to you, Nestor. Is your name a reference to Battle Beyond the Stars? But more importantly, you'll probably want some kind of thumbnail image so people can identify you. Good luck. I still haven't even finished my first story!

Yeah I noticed the Battle Beyond the Stars reference too.

Yes, it's totally a BBS reference! I love Roger Corman movies! Including the bad ones! Which is a lot! LOL! But how do I upload in image for a thumbnail pic?

Use My Stuff > Pictures

And then you can select it while editing your profile.

Anyway have fun, and stop by the Writing Workshop if you need feedback or advice on any of your work or have any questions about plotting or structure. CYOAs can be a lot of work and so even if you've had practice writing regular studies it's advised to start with a small project make sure you're not biting off more than you can chew

Also I usually recommend reading and reviewing a few games, especially the top rated ones just to get an idea of the possibilities and the quality level readers are looking for. (The New Games list meanwhile can be VERY hit and miss but those are the authors most in need of honest criticism and feedback.)

:) Hi! Welcome! I love science fiction too! If you are interested in reading some awesome stories, I will use copy and paste to recommend to you what I recommend to others:

I especially recommend the works by BerkaZerka, Ogre11, and EbonVasilis. So far I have only been able to read some of each of their impressive works in the limited time I am here. I suspect all their works are awesome!

BerkaZerka’s Dead Man Walking (Zombie Survival) is extremely well written [I managed to get the best possible ending!] and kept my eyes glued to the phone I use (though it does have violence/gore and some language), he has also got great puzzles and games (Some of which I have still not completed. They’re awesome!). Ogre11’s awesome works I have read/played so far include: Spy Mission (You gotta see the different endings), Cryogenic Failure (Again, you gotta see the different endings), UFO at School, Alien Abduction, Finding the Muse. Of EbonVasilis’s works, so far I have read his epic A Chosen Hero (I’ve got to read more of his works!). I have also played cMitchell3’s Get out Alive, read Will11’s true story Climbing Beyond The Clouds, read MinnieKing’s inspirational message Addition, and read the short mouse hero story by pinkalily21, Alone in the Forest. There are great writers and future great writers to be found on this site.

I hope you have an awesome time on the site!
