This has to do with statistics.  Have a trophy cabinet with all of these trophies laid out, beside each trophy have the winenrs name.  Clicking on the name would bring you to there profile where an icon of the trophy would go below the duel record, clicking on the trophy icon either in teh cabinet or profile would bring you to a detailed explanation of the trophy.

Here are some xamples.

Most Featured Games, Most Games, Most Posts, Most Duels, Most Duels Won, Best dueling Percentage, Most MAG points, Most Articles accepted, Most features accepted, Current Top game holder. Most Modern games, fantasy, etc... Last contest winner, Most bugs suggested and I'm sure there are more.

Well, trophies shouldn't be awarded to just one person.  They should be awarded to many people.  That way more people are happy they have trophies.  Also, some trophies should be awarded for bad things along with a deduction in MAG points.

Newbie Helper - Have to be nominated (more than one can win)

Quitter (Bad Trophy) - Deletes more than 3 games. (-50 MAG points with that)

Rater - Anyone who rates more than 100 games on the site.  One has to be length 8 or above. (Bronze Color)

High Rater - Replaces rater when 200 games are rated. (Silver)

Most Rater - Replaces high rater when a person gets high rater and rates the most games on the site. (Gold)

Low Rated (Bad) - Has at least 2 games published/deleted with a time of 3 weeks with 1 as there rating.

High Rated - Has at least 2 games published with a time of 2 months total with 7 or 8 as there rating.

Best Rated - Person who has ONE game with the rating as the highest average vote. {#.###}

Great Poster - Person who has posted over 250 posts on the forum (non-deleted) Bronze

Excellent Poster - Person who has posted over 1000 posts on the forum (non-deleted) Silver

Best Poster - Person who has posted over 1500 posts and has the most on the site. Gold

MAG Point Milestone 1 - Earn 100 MAG points.

MAG Point Milestone 2 - Earn 250 MAG points.

MAG Point Milestone 3 - Earn 1000 MAG points.

Those are some that can be earned by one person and by everybody.  You can have both good and bad trophies. (I know I'd have 1 bad trophy and a few more good ones)  So, what do you think?  2 will bring competition but not to much.  The others aren't so I'm better than you like.

I can see having small trophy icons, maybe this big -> . But eachwould be a different color or something and then if you mouse over it, it would tell you what it said.

I agree -- I think to start there would be maybe 5 trophies avaiable. Definites are: Point Milestones, Contest Winner, and Featured Storygame. Need to look over the list more ...

• Lucky (top 1% duel/win percentage)
• Featured Storygame
• Contest Winner
• High Rater (rated 75% of storygames)

This, btw, is why doing point transfers are problematic. It boosts your percentage unfairly.

I meant using Duels to give away your points.

this has been brought up before. what alex doesnt want is people making multiple accounts and "donating" points to a single account to give them more points. remember, points are eventually meant to be like currency, buying things from the site. people dont need to get free "money" (points) if thats where we are trying to head.

got in a bit of a hurry did you with that post? lol i would personally like people only working for their points. i dont think people should be giving out points freely. there are too many opportunities for people to get points. birthday, making games, rating games, writing articles. if people are in need of points, let them work for it.

however, a level ground could be to have another set of points, "favor points". like in the Omerta community, people can send "points" to certain people that have been good to them. in MAG, these could be different from our MAG points, but maybe after so many "favor points" you gain MAG points... just a thought.
