Pls tell me this

I really feel you could've just set a variable to a number below zero and saw for yourself that it worked in less time than it took to make this thread....

Why do you need a variable to go below zero? Zero is just an arbitrary point on the real number line. You can choose your "zero" to be any number you want, as long as you aren't doing division/multiplication. *shrugs*

It has its uses.

For example, I subtract a variable from zero to temporarily remove it from a script check, then set it back to it's original value by subtracting it from zero a second time.

Variables can be shown to the user. The actual value can hold meaning beyond its relation to other numbers.
