there needs to be some restrictions on the lucky dueler trophy.

1. there needs to be a minimum number of games played. like over 100. that way, newbies who come on the site and win 10 times wont get it. WEEDY has it right now and he is 9-2.

2. there needs to be a time limit on dueling. meaning this, if weedy doesnt come back on he will never lose it. however, if he loses it simply cause he doesnt duel for like 3 months or so then someone else who does come back to the site can get it.

3. this isnt with the dueler trophy, its about the games played trophy. if someone gets 50% of the games played then stops playing the new games that keep coming out he should lose his trophy if his percentage drops below 50% again.

100 seems awfully high. The limit now is 10.

The problem is cheating; no matter what rules we put in place, people can cheat to get high duel percentages.

i'll think about these other things though

i agree that 100 is high. but thats one of the best ways to curb cheating. if 2 people are always dueling and person A keeps winning then you know something is up. as for the 100, is there really a purpose in having a trophy with low standards?

The purpose of the trophy is LUCK. Since all games are (psychology aisde) pure luck, the higher the number of duels, the closer to 50% the ratio will be. What that means is that, no matter what the lower limit is, the lucky dueler will always sit near that limit.

BTW -- as far as cheating -- i audited Weedy's duels and they are not cheating. just lucky.

Thinking about it more -- I like #2 best. WIll probably do something like that.

what's a good time limit? 3 mos ? 1 mos ?

i like 1 month lol the less time the better lol. allows the trophy the opportunity to switch more often. as for weedy, never thought he was cheating. just stingy in not giving up the trophy lol

With 82% I suspected "cheating" -- I've had to exclude two users from the trophy for that. Weedy should buy a lotto ticket!!

I should note, by "cheating" I mean dueling to xfer points. Not for the intent of getting a high duel record. This is, btw, why one shouldn't use duels to xfer points.
