Hi hi, newbie here :D

Hello people! I finally decided to make an account and introduce myself. I discovered this site a few months ago but was too busy to use it, but here I am.

Soo yeah, I'm Artemis, 21 years old, and I love anything that involves choices. I'm an Episode and Choices veteran (for those who don't know they're mobile games with visual stories and choices). I will read any genre I find to be honest, but my faves are probably fantasy, sci-fi, and romance.

Please drop some recs or personal faves if you want. Also, how old are you guys? Anyone around my age?

Welcome to the site! Fantasy is the most popular here by far so there's a lot to pick from, I'd recommend browsing the main storygames page though since that has the high lights of each category.

Aphrodite's Orphan is one of my personal favorite sci fi games on the site, or you might also enjoy Polaris.

There's a pretty wide age range here, some middle schoolers wandering around but most are probably college aged. Some of us are a little older as the site has been around a couple decades now and interactive fiction itself is a pretty venerable genre predating most of the internet.

Spell of slumber is about my favourite romance story on the site so you should give that one a try if you're into that stuff, and no it's not a sleeping beauty fan fiction, if you were wondering. Just largely inspired by in terms of some themes :)

I'm 21 as well, but as Mizal said, there's a really large age range here.

I think we've got a lot of teens and younger twenties people, but you can find all ages on here. I'm 22. We come from all walks of life, bonded by our interest in writing and chooseyourown stories. The site itself is 23 years old, so the older members are probably in their late 30s or 40s because they joined as teens or in their twenties. I know the site itself was started by Alex, George, and Dan as college friends, and then it slowly grew into this online community of choose-your-own adventure fans/writers.

Recs: Walmart Game, Finals Week, Eternal, Rogues, Altair-III Search and Rescue, Necromancer, Ground Zero, Geek, A prayer of destruction, end of creation, Detective 1: Blacksea Island, Tower of Rowena, Price of Freedom, Tower of Riddles

Love Sick Is a timeless CYS classic that should be required reading for every member.

I think they need to ease into it a bit before reading Love Sick. Also, I think someone accidentally recommended Love Sick to a 12 year old, so it's a bit risky before you know what people are fine with reading. There's some crazy material in Love Sick

Easing into things is for wimps. True CYStians jump into experiences just like diving into the deep end of the pool.  Love it or hate it doesn't matter so much but reading through it and forming an opinion tells a lot about one's ability to survive.

Edit: I forgot to add.  Your post here is totally gay and you should be ashamed for putting it in the forum.

To be fair, it's covered with enough warning labels even a 12 year old should know better, they just go and read it anyway. And in any case, this person did say she was 21.
