i dont really play them much but im gonna get one wich one should i get

Counter Strike Source or Counter Strike Global Offensive.

They're classics.  That's all I have to say.

Oh. Well I don't own a PS3 but TF2 is the best free FPS game for the PC :D

Technically Counter-Strike 1.6 would be the classic, but yeah, even now CS:S is still decently popular (CS:GO only if you want to play scrim matches).

I'm actually a high ranking admin in a gaming community centered around CS:S haha.

CS on the pc, Halo for the Xbox and I guess all the PS3 is left with is the COD series? not sure what else they have.

Saints Row isn't a FPS, it's a Grand Theft Auto clone and the first one was only for the 360. The Gears of War series is only out for the 360 as well. (And not really a FPS either)

PS3 has Resistance Fall of Man and they have Killzone too.

Surprised nobody suggested the Farcry or the Crysis series since everyone seems to rave over them. Never played them myself though. The only FPS in recent years that I've played are the Bioshock games, the Borderlands games and Metro 2033.

Crysis is somewhat minimal on multiplayer gameplay modes (the beta maps for Crysis 3 were pretty small for Crytek to make :P), and Farcry gets kinda zany/wacky later on to the point where the plot loses its importance.  Resistance and Killzone are pretty fun to play, but the multiplayers get empty at times...

When I think Fps farcry and crysis don't have really that quality. Saints row is another over the soldier.

I don't agree SR  is a copy of GTA but it could defiantly be its whacked out on drugs younger brother who spends all his time watching porn and gangster movies. Which makes SR infinitely more fun in my opinion.

I liked the first two (especially the second SR), but I really didn't like the third one. They took out a lot of the activities I enjoyed in the second game and didn't like some of the new ones. Didn't really care for the gangs or the new characters either.

Ultimately the third one felt unfinished.

Yeah SR 3 defintly went down hill. First they killed off Gat and after that they could only fail. My favorite character was Zemos.

I would say none because I don't like FPS. ;)  One time my husband (who is now ex) was playing Counter Strike and told me to take over for him because he had to use the washroom.  I didn't know which team was mine since he played with skins, so I just shot everything that moved.  I ended up killing a team mate I think, and he mocked me for it.  He shouldn't have given me the thing in the first place. ;)

Battlefield 1942. Nothing compares to ylthe romance of past days.

Man talk about a loaded question for the PC it is probably CS or Team Fortress 2

Xbox is defintly Halo no question GOW is actually an over the shoulder shooter not actual FPS

PS3/4 I would go for cod or battlefield depends on what you want.

If you want tanks and airplanes and lots of crazy explosions you should go Battelfield because it is really strong there.

If you want an generic shoot them up game with just people, nades and guns. Cod is where it is at.

I have some real cool memories with Battlefield 1942, like running into enemy lines on a bike with my buddy roaring with the mg and having a dogfight on the wake islands, where I crashed my fighter into friendly bomber and we lost because of that. Haha.
