Help for Co-Authoring

Reading through all the help files, I was hoping to see something about co-authoring. The other pages helped me get accustomed to the site and I then experimented and figured stuff out for myself. However, I was just considering messaging alexp and asking some questions about co-authoring. In this case, I think questions would be valid, simply for the reason that I'd be afraid to mess up someone's game. Including a short help file on what can and cannot happen would be great for novices and padawans alike.

My primary question is, if the primary author and co-author were both on, happened to access the same page on the same game, and clicked save changes at the same time, what would happen? I want to make sure I'm not fixing some minor spelling error while the primary happens to be changing all the text, and I erase everything. That kind of thing. I would imagine that people comfortable with the site might end up messaging alexp, JJJ, fleshnblood, etc. to ask these questions, and the messages would get repetitive.

What would happen is that if you put in a simple typing change chances are you'll be done before the person making the big changes unless you get on right before he's finished.  When you press change your typo will be changed for the game but after change is pressed again by the other person whatever s/he had on the screen will become the page.

So there is nothing that prevents overwriting like a check in/check out system? In the improbable but possible circumstance that we both clicked it at the same time, what would happen to the original? Would the page explode? I meant to put this in the wishing well. I'll do that now. Thanks Havvy.

I moved it.  It was a question.  That's why it's in this forum.
