i like the idea of having the same number in each category. Right now what fits comfortably is 6. also then we can be sure we're not just lumping them all together. The top 6 of each category get featured - very simple!

What about 8? Rating a game is from 1-8, difficulty is 1-8, and length is 1-8. So I think the nomber of featured games should be 8.
