Flatland: A romance of many dimensions. I've started it, and it's... Odd. Very, very odd. Not finished with it yet (it's actually pretty long for a short story, maybe it's a short novel?) but I do want to finish it.

Hey look, a free book to read and review. :D I'll give my review after I finish it. 

Dang, Flatland is really sexist and classist, so far.  (The place, not the book.)

I know, right? Women are just simple lines, while men/people with jobs become as intricate as triangles and squares.

Guess that's how things were back then.

But all the shapes are really . . . shapist?  I mean, like, the narrator is talking about how dull and base the triangles are.

I think all the colour stuff is some kind of social commentary, but I didn't bother to look up what was happening in history around the time this was written.
