Dust off a seat and discuss a good book here...you do read, right?

It has some of the best descriptions and one of the most original plots.

It's not, I was joking. I litteraly searched up top ten worst books ever written and that was number 1. It's about a dragon that tries to eat people and the protagonist is a ninja that wants to prevent that. The writing is terrible, there is an exclamation mark on just about every sentence, and there is no tension nor change in tempo.

xD ... I think I heard Ogre's joke cry out "wheeeee~" as it sailed over your heard, ST. Neither of us were talking about the book, Ogre was making a joke out of the fact that Antigua is the name of an island in the West Indies--(which, by the way, is gorgeous) but I'm sure you're right and the book is unspeakably awful.

You may have heard it cry out, but I'm thinking ST did not because it was so far over his head...

That would explain it.

That is one expensive paperback...

Wow. That thing is really awful. And the reviewers pulled no punches. I really can't explain the paperback price, though. How odd.

In case you don't want to follow the links, here's a portion of one of the reviews:

In the first thirty pages, you're introduced to a blue dragon named Voltrarr, a bodybuilder knight, a fairy named Prinkiee, Charliey Octopus (dead serious), and King Aurthorr and Queen Eleanordora--all of whom don't do much more than fight, roar, and "zap" bumblebees. (The authors actually used the word "zap" to refer to magic, and this is just before a centaur says the phrase "Yeah right!")
