He's just the first that came to mind. Give me a break Seth! I was so bored..... XD

Boredom is no excuse!

Wrestlers are the best celebrities to meet in person.  So far every single one of them has been way more personable than they need to be for a public appearance.

Hmm, I guess they don't suck as much as I originally thought.

Derailing into a discussion of WWE

They all suck. It's all fake.

You take that back, Zag.  Just because it's scripted doesn't mean it's fake.

Fine, I admit it is slightly entertaining.

I Still think it's fake, though.

When Cody Rhodes (Stardust!) does a moonsault off the top of a steel cage, he's actually doing a backwards somersault and falling 15 feet to the ground.
When Cena does the AA, he's actually lifting a 200 pound guy over his head (yeah, the guy helped him, but it still takes ridiculous strength.)

Wrestling is all the hard parts of being an athlete and an actor.

Oh, it's fake. Most of Kung Fu is also unusable as a deadly weapon unless you're some sort of orange-robed superhuman. Gladiatorial Combat whenever slaves and prisoners of war weren't competing (I.E. Most of it) was also fake. That doesn't mean it's not violent and painful. Those injuries are real, and a lot of the sound effects are too. It takes a lot of athleticism and skill, and they're definitely hitting each other all the same, they're just careful not to hit really hard.

You can actually see them pulling back at the last few seconds sometimes when they're using weapons, because it's dangerous shit. Wrestlers are very careful, artful people. Unless they're Chris Jericho. That guy's fucked a lot of people up for the sake of "realism".

Seriously, Jericho!? Come on, dude! That guy has a career! And kids, and boxer's depression, probably! Nobody believes any of the other guys when they hit people, you're not going to deceive us! Save the real violence for the writing team! I mean, goddamn, where did you get those morons from? Capcom? Team Sonic?

@Sethaniel

@breezy134

I stand corrected.

I'm not saying the wrestling part is real fighting, sent.  XD

I hear Flair actually did the chops, too.

Derailing into s discussion of WWE

Of course the fighting isn't really real, but they have to connect, which is dangerous enough. They're being viewed from all angles by the camera and the audience. There isn't much wiggle-room for things like prop/stage punches unless you're out by the entrance place, where it's a tad more difficult to see what you're doing.

You guys literally did 3 wishes and it ended.

Derailing into a discussion of WWE

Maybe we should make a derailing game.

Derailing into a discussion of WWE

9 years ago

How would that work?

Derailing into a discussion of WWE

9 years ago

Hmm. Maybe start a conversation, then slowly derail it. It would have to be subtle though. It may be a harder game than I originally thought ot would be.

Derailing into a discussion of WWE

No.  No you shouldn't.

Derailing into a discussion of WWE

Okay, I won't.

This got into its own thread? Well, I'm famous!

(Drinks on me!)

*Walks up to bartender (Seth) and he says that we can't buy a drink until the drunk (John Cena) leaves.*

D'oh!

Not really, lots of derailed threads got snipped into their own thread.
