Crack the Case...Again!

Ok, a recap of the rules. They are pretty simple.

1. I will post a crime scenario.

2. Each individual can only ask 1 "Yes or No" question on this thread.

3. Once your question has been answered you may ask another, but only after your question has been answered.

4. All players can post questions at the same time, but only 1 per person. I repeated that cause people dont tend to remember the rules very well.

5. Your job is to figure out the crime. I will post specifically what you need to figure out at the end of the mystery.

6. Search the forums for "Crack the case" if you need more understanding of whats going on.

The Case of Yosemite Slim

Ratso, a sleazy cowpoke, walks into the blacksmith shop in Bodunk, Texas. He plops a saddle on the counter and asks for $50 dollars for it. The Blacksmith quickly buys the saddle, calls for the sheriff and has Ratso arrested for the murder of Yosemite slim.

You must figure out on what grounds was Ratso arrested. Meaning, how was he connected to it?

Good luck, this is an easy one so it shouldnt take long.

Crack the Case...Again!

Yes, the blacksmith was the one who recognized it. But now you gotta figure how.

Did the blacksmith recognize the markings on the saddle as his own?

Crack the Case...Again!

yes and no. they werent really markings persay. there was something that on the saddle that he did recognize. might want to figure out what Yosemite Slim did before he was killed. that MIGHT help. not sure.

also, there are 2 clues that everyone can agree on getting.

did he know because he had that saddle custom made for slim?

Crack the Case...Again!

yes. and for that i will call this a closed case.

basically the story goes like this, the blacksmith and yosemite were good friends. yosemite struck it rich with gold in them their hills. the blacksmith knew it wasnt safe to have all that gold out in the open so he sewed the gold into the saddle. so when ratso tried to sell the saddle for only $50 the blacksmith knew that something was wrong. upon inspecting the saddle it was found to be lined in gold and ratzo was arrested for the murder of yosemite.

ON our road trip to Gencon, I introduced the rest of the admins to the game - everybody loved it.  for a trip to a gaming convention, it's the game we played the most.
