Cows vs. Aliens! is now a thing!

It is a script heavy game (probably best played when there's not a huge load on the server).

Going to put some time aside to play this one. Your games are always a treat. 

This game has been very fun to play! I'm enjoying it quite immensely at the moment, but, umm, was this difficult to create?

Yes, it was very time consuming to write out and test the scripting that went into it.

For example, every time you click 'Call' in the third act, it runs 1,589 lines of script with 17,877 words in it.

Then there is the script in 'Deal The Next Hand' that has to shuffle and distribute cards into the hands without repeating cards on itself - then determined if the aliens keep their hand or redraw it.

Though not as long as the Call script, it still took a few days to put together all by itself.

Glad to see you finally finished this one, I remember when you were getting pretty frustrated with the scripting process a few years back with it.

Thankfully, Inspiration and better scripting came from what Killa_Robot was doing with his Koi Koi game.

As pointed out in the Comments, the A-2-3-4-5 wheel straight is not programmed in.

I'll adjust the scripting to accommodate it sometime later this week.

Love it! Didnt even know it was possible to play poker in a CYOA.

Already in there - there's a 'Card Up Your Sleeve' gimmick in the second and third act, along with others to break things up a bit. :)

I played through and finished but didn't see that happen. Also, the bull has sleaves?

Sometimes interesting prompts would occur, but I never saw an opportunity for me to cheat. I guess I'll have to look again. Thanks BZ. You're welcome.

Yeah, the gimmicks are randomly generated, and some depend on whether you win the hand or not, so it could take a few plays to see them all.

Note that there are no gimmicks in the first act however.

What I meant was to actually take a card out of circulation for later use, but I'm sure that would be incredibly complicated to script in.
