Simple. What's your favorite storygame? I'm a 3J fan when it comes to storygames, mine is a tie between The Tower and Star Wars: A New Galaxy. I also thoroughly enjouyed 8 Goals 28 rolls.
At the moment my favourite storygame is Death Song (and Necromancer). I haven't played very many storygames in the past couple of years though so I might be missing something.
Hahaha, it's more of the nostalgia. The Tower was one of the first games I played, and it was really well written. SW:NG was just a lot of fun to play. Mommy was third for me, it's such a damn good game lol. Most newbs always play that one and are like wow I love that game!
Ground Zero closely followed by OMS. Necromancer is only third by an incredibly short margin.
Necromancer OMS Deathsong but I have not played many games yet.
My absolute favorite (and I played this SEVERAL times, even though it doesn't have many endings) is Snow. First I played, and will always be my favorite. ALWAYS!!!
Man, the first time I played Snow I was baffled. It so different from almost every other CYS game, except for the one by Corinthian, I forget the name. There are a few hidden gems here, and those two stories most definitely qualify.
Snow depresses me every single time I play it.
Yeah, it's not so happy. Try to look for the beauty in the sadness though, that is what makes the story so beautiful.
I was on the verge of tears the first time I read it. I wish to write something so impowering some time!
It was decent. Great writing though, I'm just not a huge fan of romances.
Ha, almost all of my stories are romance! Well, at least a subtle dose of romance.
I try to write depending on how well written the story is, endings might have a part, but only if I am annoyed. People definately get brownie points from me if I enjoy it though :). Romances don't neccesarily seem bad to me, I just don't typically enjoy them.
Too much kissy-kissy ga-ga?
The only genres I exceed in writing are Romance and Horror! (technically, adventure and fantasy is just a general genre, so i write in those too)
Oh yeah, I'm awesome at death scenes as well. When I was younger, I often pictured dramatic death scenes in my head. I had an odd childhood.
