Hey guys,

So I finally fixed (I hope) the majority of bugs in Mommy, rewrote some of the story to reflect new societal technology, and added a story arc. If you've read it before, you will note the differences. The story is actually more difficult to finish, now, because of the addition of some new items one must have to actually finish. These items are directly related to another story I am working on, and you will have to examine the new items to be able to play the new story, as it will require a password of sorts.

With any bug fixes, there are inevitably new bugs introduced. Hopefully I didn't destroy the entire story and make it "unwinnable." Please PM me if you find any problems. A reader should no longer be able to exploit the infamous stat bug; if you are more clever than I, please tell me, and I'll try, try again...

OOh... I got to the previous version ending, but gather that you need to figure out the pieces to actually finish the game?

Yeah, there's another story within the story, and actually finishing now requires that one explore a bit more. I added the extras not just to arc it, but because I think people were missing a lot of the story, judging by the comments that "wished the story was longer." It's really long, but choosing extremely safe options could end it quickly.

I'm interested to see how difficult it is to finish now. Hopefully not horrible, but definitely requires more planning, forethought, and exploration.

The next story will tie into it, too, so I hope that works out well.

Kudos! I went and reset the publish date to first publish so that all the play counts stick. I can do this on request in cases like this.

Hmm, maybe I did make it too difficult. Hope the responses to the PMs were helpful, as far as hints go. The next story actually requires completion of this story, so if no one can figure it out, I suppose I will have to look at alternate methods. Still, I think that with a nice combination of cognition and exploration, one can certainly figure it out and complete the story as is.

Well, one guy figured it out who just joined the site and rated 3 games with "STUPID!" Still, he figured it out. Impressive.

I'll give it a try tomorrow so I can let you know what I think. I've been wanting to give the updated version a read through regardless. 

Maybe you just forgot to reroute an old death page that still allows a comment? So, I need a hint. There are 3 pieces you have to find? And is it too late if you find piece #3 before 1 & 2?

PM if you need hints. I actually have gotten a lot of PMs for hints since I did this, which was encouraging. Also tell me if you guys find any bugs I didn't fix - I think the stat bug is fixed. Maybe there is some way to sneak out without them; I suppose I could have missed it. Was amazingly difficult to come back to that behemoth after 5 years and figure out all the variables and scripts again without breaking the story and balance.

It could be 3. The order doesn't exactly matter, but some things will not be able to be found should you miss them in the first place. It's funny how without playtesting it's difficult to tell if something is too hard or too easy.

I plan to keep trying :)

xD ... Madglee, you're killin' me. Seems like everyone else knows how to get past this part but me. I -have- achieved some pretty good endings and titles, and I hate asking this, but: Can you give me a hint about pieces 1 and 4 of the medallion? I know you get 2 from making Mr. Pointy and I eventually figured out you could use the condom to get 3, (I found it with the beer at first, so I tried sticking to that for a while) but I cannot, regrettably, figure out what I'm missing in order to collect the first and last pieces. And between the airport security and the cops, I keep losing items.... *sigh*

Love your game, though. It's brilliantly written, the details are great, the character creation is interesting, and the item system has been fun to mess around with.
