Is there any good story here that tells about assassins, assassinations, and killers? Something like 'School of Assassins' (it's not finished though)?

Also, what are your thought about a story about assassins?

Dont really understand this new trend of asking if people here would be interested in [insert story idea here]. If you write well, then people will enjoy it. If you write poorly, people will hate it. But pretty much all kinds of stories are well liked here. 

Right. I do think that everyone will have their own audiences. As long a person writes well, it's good. And I'm pretty sure there will always be people that like that idea or genre.

It's really all about getting comments, feedback, and attention before the story's finished, which Raven has a bit of a thing for.

@aman It's about getting attention without actually having to write the story.  Like the WW motivation threads. 

Ah, I'm probably being uncharitable because nano is pissing me off:  Tons of ppl who didn't actually write a story posting about their cover art, asking for feedback on their characters, setting, etc.  Talking about what the sequel will be about instead of actually finishing the current story.

Makes sense, ha ha. I think that out of the hundreds of Motivational threads, only 3 or 4 stories wrre actually published. Wish people did more like Ogre and Will and Appdude. Start short, see if you can actually write well, and then go for your magnum opus. Everyone wants to write an epic on the first try, and that everyone will cheer for it. Its just sillu. (Though Ogre gotta write his epic already. Hes too good at this point for shortstories.)

Interest threads are a two way street. Most die because there doesn't seem to be much public interest in the project after the initial surge, which demotivates the person who already needed motivation.

The ones that do succeed are usually the people who do regular updates anyway, and as such don't really need the motivation.

Though I have a stronger feeling for this one. Stronger than my previous ideas, and I feel that I can connect with this idea better. I previously have been wondering about this idea when other ideas were still flowing on my head. But after I gave this one a bit of a chance, I found out that I can connect to this one better.

I was reading a science article about a study they did on whether visualizing your desired outcome made success more likely.  They found ppl who spent a lot of time imagining future success didn't actually do the thing they were visualizing.  Turns out imagining gives you the same hit of dopamine as actually doing it.  So thinking about your future achievement is just as satisfying as actually achieved it, and a whole lot easier! XD 

XD makes sense, honestly. As great as dreaming big dreams is, actually doing things is a lot different. 

As someone who finds his imaginary friends most insipid and boring as people, I can testify to the notion that an exception exists; I get way more dopamine from finishing things. But I also get dopamine from all manner of distractions...

If only I could get my customers to pay for imaginary machined parts, I could be rich in no time.  Imagine that!  XD
