So, I'm officially down to the final two chapters of Site 59... and with everything going on, I've kinda run out of steam. What advice or suggestions does anyone have when you get down to the last part of a story? I really want to finish it asap, as I will probably be moving soon and idk if I will have unlimited internet as I do now....

Great job on getting so much writing done! Do you have a timeframe for when you'll be finished? I'm always looking forward to new, well-written horror stories - especially since, if you were able to make a game like Survival of the Fittest in a week, I'm excited to see what you could do with more time.

I've been writing on this one since the week I started on this site, a little over a month or so ago, I think... like I said I'm plotting out the final cbapter now and then just have to fill in the last few "skeleton" pages. Umm... timeframe wise, maybe two days if that. Just depends...

I will definitely be sending it to you and the one other member who offered to proofread within the next day or so... I really hope y'all like this one!! ;)

Thanks, lol. Final page count is 133 pages with 185 links. About 10 variables, 3 items, and 7 different possible kinds of endings from good, bad, random death, and only one best ending!!

Mystery? Uhh... not really. You're camping with some friends and a psycho tries to kill everyone and capture all the female characters for other purposes lol. Really you just try to escape before he gets you. You can solve a mini-mystery, though. You explore a house that you come across and assume belongs to the psycho, but you can solve the mystery of whose house you are really exploring.... (laughs evilley, lol)

I am currently "trying" a game. Right now I am making the Create a Name system and it's tiring!

Honestly though, I'm a writer. I write for a living. It's called daycare, lol. Oh, and I'm an insomniac so I don't sleep. Most of my writing is done in the wee hours. Lol.

Just don't take the path to the road ahead.... its the last chapter, darn it.... adding to it very slowly... (and if you sneak peek, I will be mad and very disappointed... oh, and you will discover perhaps its more than 30 pages, smh)

Darn it all!!! Just counted 55 pages that are basically blank. Mind some of them are supposed to be blank, lol. But fudge, I'm so freaking close man!!! (Smh, that's what I get for guesstimating, heh)

Okay, Site 59... I officially am down to final 20 pages! Early playtesting is underway, but so far, it sounds promising... :)

I have had a few interesting suggestions though. Please help me decide what to do as far as these suggestions:

1) The introduction page: it apparently is still hard to read. Anyone who saw the same when I had it up briefly about a month ago, would have seen a dark gray background. I finally found another fitting background, but no matter what color I change the text, it is still hard to read for some members. I went with white, as it was the most readable, and trust you me, I tried many... Any suggestions?

2) The characters: I have heard alot of feedback about the characters. On my first writing of the story, I had dead links everywhere, even on like the second page. That has been changed. I also had one suggestion, which I took to heart, suggesting I not introduce the many characters all at once, as I originally did. I changed it to where you slowly meet the characters throughout the story. There are nine friends with you when you first begin the trip. I have now found out that some members are struggling to tell them all apart. So apparently, I'm not good at slowly introducing them while you play. Ugh. However, I had a new suggestion to add thumbnail images for each character... perhaps on the first page of the story. Any thoughts on this? Or maybe I can even add a picture on one of the first pages that is a picture if the whole group together?? Idk... Or a page that tells you a little bit about each of your friends? What do y'all think?

Any suggestions or feedback is extremely useful as the game is soon to be published!!! Woohoo!

Update: Only 7 more pages to write! My brain is numb.....

1) Save the background image, use a photo editing program to darken it, then re-upload it and use the darker version as your background. Or, if you don't have a photo editing program, PM me the link and I'll do it for you :)

2) An optional page with a little anecdote about the friend might help. It's easier to remember who's who if we have more context to the friendships.

I guess we can try it at least... But yeah, on a Kindle, so no image editting program. Just send you the link that's in the story?? It's a picture on my profile not an outside site. Idk... don't know anything about some of this stuff. XD

And I was kinda thinking a main page that just decribes each character, but I like your idea even better... :P

But I still eventually want like a group drawing of the friends, maybe black and white of the friends as I picture them. Fortunately, yes I can draw. Unfortunately, I suck at drawing people. (Darn.) Guess this can be added way later if someone likes the story enough and draws one for me... *shrugs*

Oh well, back to writing. Must finish the best ending page. It's the final damn page, yiah! Lol

I kinda just wasted the last hour drawing a picture of the main characters. Yes, free drawn. And damn, I forgot, I can't draw people! Debating whether to share, though. Should get a few laughs at least, lol.

Please share! I didn't know you drew, and I always react to meeting other artists like a hyper puppy dog.

Okay, you pulled my leg... but its not good. 4 years of art classes and I cant draw people. .. Fun fact: I was actually accepted into one of the bigger art schools in cali when I was in HS. Turned it down, though. Wish I could undo that decsion... Enjoy!

This actually does a great job helping me keep track of all the different characters - they all look unique and have different poses, and their personality comes across in how you drew them! Nice work. :)

What umm kind of art? Drawing, painting, my sketchpad?

Anything and everything. I'm always really impressed by anyone who uses traditional medium - I literally cannot draw without using the layers, color balance, and the undo button anymore, haha.

Uhh... bad news. I literally cannot reach my portfolio... smh. I unfortunately am only 5ft so uh yeah. I will have to wait until tomorrow and have someone taller grab it down for me... sorry. :/
