A humorous adventure. You play as yourself, an adventurer... well, let's be honest, you're a thief. You've heard a witch named Rowena has gathered treasures which are scattered throughout the tower she calls home.
You are free to backtrack as much as you like within the tower and the immediate area. Indeed, backtracking will be necessary to find all the treasures. You are free to return to the beginning and leave whenever you wish. The more treasures you find, the more you'll impress us, so of course you'll want to find all 17.
Certain risky decisions will result in your demise. You'll always be given a warning that you are doing something risky, so that you may change your mind. However, certain risky decisions have beneficial results. It's up to you whether to proceed or not.
Good luck with the treasure hunting!
A humorous adventure. Help Timmy make the right choices to become a true adventurer!
Later, gator.

What kind of god would you be? on 1/6/2019 6:07:39 AM
1.) I would be the god of mad scientists.
2.) Earthquakes and death rays, just for starters.
3.) I'd wear a lab coat, rubber gloves, and thick eyeglasses. My hair would be wild and untamed, or else I'd be bald. You'd find me in my lab, dusty and filled with cobwebs. Note the Tesla coils, various levers, dials with needles indicating who knows what, and colorful liquids in beakers. Observe how they bubble, giving off clouds of vapor that sink to the floor. And let's not forget the operating table. You really don't want to be strapped onto that. Haha, no, indeed.
4.) Worship me and I'll reward you with fame and fortune, even if it means stealing other people's inventions. Ignore me, and die penniless and alone in your hotel room. Tough call, eh?
5.) For science!
50 words story thread. on 12/11/2018 8:43:15 AM
“Today I start my new storygame,” David promised. “With ninja pirates and cowboy robots, and whatever else I think of as I type… Ooh, what’s this? ‘The most addictive game you’ll play this year. Click here!’ Well, my storygame can wait fifteen minutes.”
Thus another day without any writing passed….
I normally prefer drabbles, which are 100-word stories, not including the titles, as that gives you a little more wiggle room. Fifty words is certainly doable, though, as I've seen by some excellent entries above. Another challenge you might enjoy is Twitter Fiction, in which you are limited to the number of characters you can fit into a Tweet.

Welcome to the site! Nice to see someone else on here who remembers the 70s.

Yes, you're correct. I was wondering why people went off on this skeleton tangent.
Happy Thanksgiving! on 11/22/2018 4:54:54 PM
They don't have Thanksgiving in England, although we'll have a turkey dinner on Sunday, since I'm an American. Black Friday has caught on here, though, I'm sorry to report.
Fantasy Henchmen on 11/21/2018 3:40:16 AM
Personally, I'd go for robots. I know, that's science fiction, not fantasy, but some fantasy has science fiction as well, and the mad scientist persona suits me. They may be expensive to build, but they work for free. You don't have to feed them. They unfailingly follow orders. There's no danger of them falling asleep while on sentry duty, which is something henchmen invariably seem to do whenever the heroes arrive. I wouldn't have to worry about them rebelling, since they'd be programmed not to. I'd have some easy way of destroying them, just in case they got out of control.
I'd also make certain to review the Evil Overlord List https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvilOverlordList to avoid the classic blunders Evil Overlords make.
Halloween! on 11/2/2018 4:21:50 AM
The last Halloween costume I purchased was a Wizard outfit. It clearly said it was a Wizard costume on the package, and it looked like a wizard costume to me. But when I put it on, everyone said, "Oh, you're a professor!"
This was many years ago, and I haven't worn a Halloween costume since.
The Thirteeth Doctor on 10/8/2018 2:36:26 PM
With only one episode aired, it's too early to pass judgment, but I feel she's off to a good start.

Personally, I rather liked David Tennant's style. Of the newer Doctors, it was Matt Smith I was glad to see leave.
