Amish Adventure

This was quite well-written and informative. It was definitely more story than game, and the story didn't really deviate much from a certain set path, but that's really the only minor gripe that I had with this.

It offered good insight on a lifestyle that I certainly don't know much about, and some nice tidbits to familiarize me with certain facets of the Amish culture that I found to he rather interesting.

This was honestly a pretty good story. I only wished that it wasn't so linear and there was more potential branching involved.

Well, this was certainly an interesting experience.

First of all I'd like to praise the author. The writing was very well done, and you obviously spellchecked as I did not notice a single grammar mistake, so props to you. The story itself was very interesting and taught me a good deal about Amish culture (if it was accurate). For example I learned things like the religious practices of Amish people and gender roles. A very educational game I must say.

However, this game did have its own faults. While it was educational it wasn't much of an interactive fiction. Basically, it was linear. This means that it stuck to one story without branching off or making a new storyline. What puzzles me is that, while it follows a single story, the author knew it had to have choices, but those just put you right back in the original plotline. For example if you decide to skip Youth group and go to grandma's she forces you back, and only towards the end was there any change in plotline, but that was just in the endings.

Also, I felt that the game jumped around a lot. In the beginning it seemed like a "day in a life" type thing but then all of a sudden I'm going to groups and getting married. I think it would be better if the author added more meat behind these major events, as this could also add more educational value.

In the end, the story was very educational amd very unique, it would appear the author either has done a lot of research or was a former Amish citizen. But it was too educational with not enough interactive story.

Even though Amish people aren't real, I still enjoyed the game.

You got the statistics incorrect. it is 90% who chose to leave the Amish community, and 10% who chose to stay. All in all, I really enjoyed this; It was fun and educational. Thank you for making this!
