This is a puzzle game that gives readers good variety and is also quite challenging. They made me want to keep trying and were interesting. Good job on the puzzles.
I know you mentioned you didn’t really mean it to be a story, but this is a choose-your-story site after all, so you could maybe put a little backstory on how you ended up in the room, or maybe finding out who locked you in the room.
This was a good puzzle game. I will give it a 4/8.

Readers have to solve this puzzle game consisting of three puzzles, or they get exploded by a bomb!
I liked all the arrangement of the text and descriptions of the situation. Although not a story-based game, you still tried your best to add literary elements to it. Using colored text and division lines was also very clever. It attracted my attention to where it was needed.
The poem was a nice touch, except that it didn’t help solve the maze! The first part of the instructions worked, but the rest didn’t and the puzzle ended up not making any sense. I had to guess my way through it. The keypad module was also hard to understand. In the first page, there was no image, and overall the instructions weren’t clear enough to make the reader know what the puzzle actually was. The only puzzle that worked was the wire module, which I had fun doing.
I gave this a 3/8 because of the first two modules, but I would easily have given this a 6 if all the puzzles worked!

Good puzzle, but a bit tedious at times. A tip would be to even out the time spent on each of the 3 modules. The maze takes about a minute if you play perfectly, but the other two add up to about 15 seconds total. Also, I found the maze a bit too long and annoying. I also would have liked more than ONE puzzle for the wire module, especially with the long list of instructions you had at the start.
Anyway, I had fun with it. 4/8.

Not sure if it was my sloppiness, but following the maze's directional hints in sequence didn't yield the correct results. In any case, a lot of the puzzles are a bit simplistic with a written down guide, but are otherwise fun little memory games. Just wish there were more actual puzzles and logic games to round things out. Neat work otherwise.

I actually really enjoyed this story since it was definitely very well written and was detailed to the point where I had a clear picture of everything something that's important in puzzle games. Speaking of puzzles the puzzles in this game were pretty well done in terms of difficulty though they weren't that hard for me (Too many professor layton games xD) but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it! Now like the author said this story doesn't have much of a plot which is a bummer. However, I was interested at the end who was the person that trapped me with the bomb but it looks like thats getting saved for the sequel. Overall a solid first storygame and I'm definitely looking forward to what the author makes next.

Pretty enjoyable. I found the puzzles to be rather interesting, and the maze tedious, but certainly rewarding once I was able to get through it.
All in all, for a first effort, this is quite decent. Nice use of pictures, variables, and even hints.
It's certainly the kind of game one probably like to play more than once to see if they could possibly best a previous time that they might have had. So I had to give even another positive point for adding an element of replay value. Although, I have to say that I'm not quite the biggest fan of making a reader have to restart from the beginning if something is mistaken on their end. But, I suppose for the context of this game, it kind've works in my opinion.
Certainly I wouldn’t mind perhaps seeing another creative venture from this particular creator. Things with a more 'game' element than story are also things that can be enjoyed here. It's always nice to have variety, I say. :) And this game was one that was offered a nice little diversion from everyday responsibility.
Kudos to you, West_0912.

I think that this is a good attempt for a first storygame, especially a puzzle game. I am familiar with the game this is inspired from, and I think you did well in translating its modules and gameplay into text form.
The writing is decent; there's a few errors in spelling here and there but nothing glaring or annoying. The information is presented in a straightforward way. Despite that, there's a certain lack of atmosphere that makes the game feel less suspenseful than it should be. The whole conflict of the game is defusing a bomb, but there's not much suspense and atmosphere to make me feel the criticality of the situation. Maybe I shouldn't expect much from a game of this nature, but it still would've been nice to have a sense of urgency being developed and give the stakes some weight.
At the end of the day, this is a simple puzzle game with one real goal, and once you achieve it, the game ends. There isn't a backstory to it, so I'm not exactly sure who I am and how I ended up in such a predicament in the first place (or why the organization that kidnapped me just gave my stuff back after I was done - what exactly did they need me for?). It's a basic (and admittedly overdone) premise, but I still had some fun with it.
As a first storygame, I think this fairs well. While it is indeed a short and simple game, there's a good amount of effort in designing these modules. I'm more looking forward to see any longer and more detailed storygames you might have in store in the future. 5/8.

Love the score system, My best time was 143 (think that may be perfect). This was a short and sweet game that was a fun 10 minute time killer. I see a bright future In West_0912's ability to make stellar stories fingers crossed on them breaking the ice and writing longer more story driven puzzle games. :)

This was a pretty good first storygame. There was a lot more game than story, but that's to be expected with a short puzzle game. While it wasn't my cup of tea, I like to think that someone who's a fan of the games that inspired this would enjoy it more than me, who has very little experience with that sort of thing.
While the resources used to actually solve the puzzles were well presented, I feel that what was really missing from this was a sense of suspense. The whole 'disarming a bomb' plot is as old as time itself, and it's not easy to pull off while putting an original spin on it, especially if that's the entire foundation of the storygame.
While there's a good effort on the writer's end here, I didn't feel any urgency that made me care all that much about disarming this bomb. As a basic puzzle game, this is fine, but that's about all there is to it- basic puzzles.
I hope you'll continue to publish more storygames to the site in the future! Again, this is a very solid first try.
