Reckless Young Man

The first page starts out as a nice surprise after reading that this was very short and basically a demo. When I see that on the page properties page, I really do get my expectations reduced. If it’s a demo, I just don’t see any reason to actually publish it. Well, there are some reasons, but none are all that good. After all, people here are looking for quality stories (at least some of the readers here are, anyway).

There is some really good writing on that first page. Sure, the tone and the scene are pretty crappy, but I guess that’s the point. But the point was received quite well with the good writing. I wouldn’t have minded to know just a little bit more about the car, myself, so I know what the main character is driving. It’s a four-barrel, but what else?

The writing was good throughout. The options were, well not all that great, IMO. But there were options and the different options led to different endings, and that was really nice to see in a CYOA. As mentioned in the intro, indeed the story, no matter which options were selected, was very, very short. This story has a little potential and really could be developed a bit more into a much better story. But again, the writing was very good for a story of this length. Thank you for sharing it with the site.

This story is a little better than expected after reading the description. I liked the concept, and the story was pretty well written and presented.

The story could have used more choices, and the disturb the peace path definitely should have been developed more.

The writing was fairly well done, and I found myself getting into the story from the start. However, it is SHORT- Yep, I'm going to tell you anyway. The shortness bothered me because just as it started moving along, the narrative ended, and I wanted more to read.

Overall, a fun and enjoyable story, but way too short.

Despite the shortness of it, I really enjoyed this.

Why?-Not everyone chooses what you think they would, plus some parts were predictable to me, namely plan C, saw that coming a mile away.
