It was better than I expected from a 2.5k word lolrandom game part 1.

Normally I would start complaining about it being one part of multiple because of how short it is, but this actually works as a complete storygame. There's some plot, characters, and a final battle. Though I doubt there'll ever be a squirrel life 2.

I found the pictures funnier than I should have. There's something about badly photoshopped squirrels with hats and superpowers that's surprisingly endearing.

The restarts significantly lowered my enjoyment of this game. I heavily suggest unpublishing this to add an endgame link at death endings, no one likes being forced to restart.

The 'grab the fries' page was glitchy, with one link that just looped to the same page, and another with the title 'make a page here'.

There was some good branching, but all the branches bottlenecked at the boss fight. I'd prefer to see some different endings, other than death, as well.

That's the problem with games that are one part of many, they can only have one. You can get past this by having one 'true' ending, and continuing the sequel from there.

Some small SPAG errors throughout as well, which is strange for something so short. Would benefit from a proofread.

Just for the restarts, I'm giving this a 3. Would be a 4, maybe 5, with a good proofread, a bit more detail, and no forced restarts.

The best story I have ever read.

That was actually really good

Adorable story with a bit of gruesomeness. (Only very little though)

I fell in love with the squirrel main character immediately. It scurries! It has little paws! Even without description of the features, you successfully painted an image of how a squirrel moves with accurate verb usage.

The thing I liked a lot was the abundance of paths to choose from. There were three choices on most of the pages, which is a lot for a short story! Some of them did lead back to the other choices eventually, but that doesn’t cancel out the experience obtained before. The pictures also made the story hilarious (it’s not every day you see a squirrel with a halo!) You also did a lot of showing and not telling, for example the squirrel’s eyes got spotty when it was hungry. That’s something I have to work on, so thank you very much for the demonstration!

Of course, my dim witted squirrel brain didn’t get to the good ending and died at the end, but I still got to go to squirrel heaven, which was fine. Overall a very delightful light read!

I am in tears from laughing. I don't know about others, but this is a pretty good game if you want a laugh.

This has to be the goofiest, most hilarious, and most exaggerated choose-your-own-adventure I have ever read. I cannot wait for more chapters to come. 10/10 story in my opinion.

Is there a squirrel life 2?

Fun little lolrandom game. Fun twist with the evil squirrel and psychic godmode, and interesting enough to garner a couple playthroughs.

Being this funny lets you get away with so much. And perhaps I'm biased because I also have a squirrel game.

And the author it seemed took some constructive criticism and improved the game, that's always a good sign.

I gave this a 5 purely for the badly photoshopped images. I found them absolutely hilarious.

Also, I'll mention it cause nobody else has: Undertale reference.

Spelling and grammar were generally good. Though the 'psionic powers' were unexplained, the main story was clearly set out and the choices were logical enough. It could benefit from more detailed descriptions on each page.
One question: can squirrels experience vertigo?
Overall a good first storygame.

I'll write a better comment later, but there were two big issues.

The "grab the fries" page was glitchy, with one link being broken and the other having a title that doesn't make sense.

Also, the forced restarts got irritating.

Actually a pretty fun game. There are a number of silly spelling mistakes though (they're called cigarette BUTTS fyi), but this is probably the peak of lolrandom animal simulator games

I like the photoshopped images. I shouldnt be enjoying it so much.

Although short, was fun. Enjoyed it.
