Player Comments on Who wants to be a Christian?

This was quite amusing, and although it was quite a dickish game, it still brought me quite some entertainment with the amount of offended Christians it brought about.

This, just needs to be taken down.

Ugh. You blatantly insulted christianity, you clearly aren't willing to even listen to reason. This wasn't even worth my attention. 1/8. If I could have rated it lower, I would have.

It was rather funny to be honest and it did make a point.
The writing was funny and well thought.
The point this was making certainly got across to me so I assume it did the job.

Although I am a fan of sarcasm and cynicism I didn't really like your 'game'. I'm not a Christian myself, but even I found this kinda offensive. It's clear that this game is meant to prove that Christianity is nonsense and that you want to show how smart you are for finding logical arguments for it. However, in my opinion, the fact that you do this through a game in which the reader has no possibility to comment on your arguments implies that you don't want to discuss religion in a rational way.

Usually, at this juncture, I would give a long and thoughtful review about your story and how it could be improved--but why should I? Clearly you didn't put that kind of effort into this piece of crap, you just wanted to piss someone off.

You're the worth my energy or ire I would have to use to give this thing a proper review, so I really only have two appropriate words in response to this story: Fuck. You.

I'm not even a Christian and I found this offensive. I mean, seriously, the game is basically a rant about Christianity masked as a game. If you don't believe in Christianity, at least tolerate it.

Sigh, made just to offend, not even well written or argued. I don't care about the subject or religeon in question but if you going to try to argue your own view-point in a game at least do it well.

After playing this and your other storygame, I would simply recommend that you never write another storygame as long as you live.

Unless you finally decide to seriously try to make a storygame, that doesn't go out of its way to offend people.

You were being kind of condescending and a lot of answers reflected that. Also, there are a lot of arguments for Christianity than what you presented in the choices. For something like this you gave very narrow options to choose from.

In my opinion this is not a argument reasonably compressible into this format. There are too many arguments for Christianity you failed to cover, and your tone of complete condescension and intolerance baffles me since you are obviously fairly well informed and intelligent. I am a Christian myself, and do believe there are other answers answers for some of the questions you pose. I would be more than willing to give specifics of what I believe and my reasons for doing so.

It wasn't insightful; you used longer words and longer paragraphs to 'explain' simple theories, including contradicting yourself, and done it in an insulting way. I didn't have high hopes for this to begin with, but it even falls short of that. I was expecting something that insults people's intelligence, yet this just undermines rational thought.

...Very strange. I don't honestly know why I took it, as I have no desire to defend Christianity to anyone (being agnostic myself). I feel like especially with the suffering question, there is not a wide enough range of choices available to explain, however.

It's sad that this game doesn't allow you to win or get past question 2: it's very well written and full of insight. More enjoyable than I thought.

The author has a reasonable understanding of what he's taken from basic philosophy, leaving us with his version of the neverending debate in circles of people who enjoy discussing these things. All the arguments are taken from such writers as Hume, Aquinas, Pascal, St. Thomas, and so forth on the various arguments about the existence of God. Basically a Philosophy 101 course, but he does manage to put a fun spin on it with a pleasantly sarcastic bite. No Christians should be offended: arguing from a position of faith, and much more, viewing the Universe as an absolute rather than a probability model is, as he says, a very precarious stance.

ummmm.......i don't want to hurt anyone feelings but that game really didn't appeal to me...

Now that it exist. This game should be unpublished and then re-published in the quiz section where it now belongs. Also great game, the first ever quiz game with a story, that reminds me of gameshows such as who wants to be a millionare, which is probably what it is a parody of. 5/8.

Oh..... My...... God...... That game had WAY too much reading and stuff, and are YOU a Christian because I didn't understand ANYTHING in that except for the part about the tortoise. Horrible game with words that are WAY to Christian and big. I'm sorry if I've hurt your religion, but do you even have a LIFE? Do you just sit around reading the Christian dictionary all day or something? God! Some people make me sick with their religions.....

I'm not a Christian, but I suppose your game pokes fun at all organized, monotheistic faiths. It's a clever idea, but I think your complex sentence structure actually takes away from the game, and perhaps makes it less appealing to potential players. Otherwise, to each his own.

The arguments could have gone on longer if the player had the choice to refute Tarrant's final say. Anyway, this doesn't change my beliefs one way or the other, but I thank you for giving me the opportunity to think.

This game is made up on rants desquised as logic, then tries to prove a point by making you answer wrong questions that would not be a normal response. Plus with the big vocabulary you lose your point to many readers. The games itself is a nifty concept, but fails in what it is trying to acheive.

Interesting game... somewhat thought provoking, but falls short of overall purpose.
