I try hard. Just ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you I'm the most trying person they've ever met.

Who's even reading this again? I'm confused. Don't you have anything better to do?

Feel free to duel me. I'll lose at least 50 points through dueling without your help anyhow. *pro gambler*

Near-Death Experiences on 7/6/2016 5:06:48 PM

My stories are pretty docile compared to yours, but here goes.

When I was a baby, apparently I stopped breathing for a while. Fun!

Once, when I was like 9, the wall of the basement in my house caught fire, and there was smoke everywhere, but it wasn't really a near-death experience because the smoke alarms were all fully functioning and there were like 4 of them blaring in my ears. Although I would have died from smoke inhalation if my mom hadn't dragged me out of the house because it was winter and sometimes when my dad was putting wood in the woodstove in winter the smoke alarms starting going off for a minute or two before quitting, and so when the smoke alarms woke me up that night, I rolled over to go back to sleep.

I just realized how incredibly boring my life is.

I agree with 31TeV. Waiting until the 3rd of July was not my best plan ever it was my third best, and since there's no chance this half-done trash I'm scribbling furiously on could win 5th place of a contest with only 4 entries, why play to lose? I'll release it later and probably under a "Sci-Fi" tag instead so I can eliminate the admittedly forced school theme. Good night and have a good 4th.

Got it. So... At least five more gallons cups of coffee, right?

Item Replacement? on 6/19/2016 8:35:29 PM

I'll stop talking now, I think I'm making a fool of myself- I edited a bit, played it through, and it's fixed xD

Item Replacement? on 6/19/2016 8:03:24 PM

I'm not sure. I might have been doing something wrong- I'll test that. Maybe I wasn't coding it correctly..

Item Replacement? on 6/19/2016 5:38:24 PM

I'm considering just leaving the items in the inventory with a little note that says 'Sorry for the glitches, I was on a deadline' xD Maybe one day... Oh well. I might actually go with the different chapter idea... That might work. Thanks *sigh*

Item Replacement? on 6/19/2016 4:54:18 PM

I'm working on a story where you can go back to the beginning when you die and variables will track where you've been before, so that if you lose the first time, the second time you might get a hint, or the dialogue will change- Kind of like in Undertale, where Flowey will track what you did before. The only problem is that I can't make the items go back to where they were without having like 5 duplicate items and variables to track them and all that- To that that for every single page with an item would take a while. So... Would it be possible to have an option to make an item go back to where you originally got it from? Say, if you earn a gun on page XXY, and then later someone takes the gun and sends you back to before you got it, then the gun will go back to page XXY, and the amount of times you can use it will reset if it can only be used a limited amount of times. I'm not the best at coding, so I don't know if this would be hard to create, but resetting items would fix about 100% of the glitches in my story... Okay, 90%, I'll probably find some mistake I overlooked after I post it anyway, but still, it would help xD

Betas Needed for Contest on 6/14/2016 9:23:16 AM

Gosh, this was 25 days ago and I haven't seen it until now. I'm doomed, aren't I? xD Spoken like a true optimist...

I think I'll enter- I didn't have the motivation time to sign up for the Puzzles contest, but this looks fun, and anyhow, a deadline will help me finally finish something. Good luck to all!
