Heya, the name's Teddy. I'm more comfortable with being called that rather than my username "Deis Nahtz".

I love writing and reading if that wasn't clear already. To tell the truth, I'm also quite interested in game design/programming which is why I decided to come here. This site allows me to write as much as I want as well as make it seem like making a small text based game.

I get most of my story inspirations and ideas while I'm in the shower or sleeping but the problem is that I can never get the words or the ideas on the screen. It takes me quite long to finish a story on my own (about a couple of months), even short stories, which is far from ideal. For the record, it took me 4 days to finish my latest paragraph and took me 2 hours to type a reply. And then there's that problem where I get an excellent idea about a story and then forget all about it in a couple of seconds.

"Try story writing" my friends said, "It'll be fun" they said. They're right, losing 8 hours of sleep over a grammatically incorrect sentence and trying to remember my forgotten ideas for the whole day is quite fun.

The more I re-read my stories, the more mistakes I find and the more it doesn't makes sense. Which I then would correct and find even more mistakes. I would then fix them and find even more discrepancies.

Ok how the hell did I finish 3 paragraphs of venting in a couple of minutes when it took me 4 days for a story paragraph??

Anyways, I'm open to advice, questions, criticism about stories, and even just small talk to start conversations so anyone is free to PM me anytime. I appreciate any kind of feedback no matter how harsh so I can improve my writing. Unless you want to just straight up insult me. Which is fine too if you don't have anything better to do.

A short horror story with multiple endings. In this story, you play as a Matthew Richter, a 19 year old College Student. You've been on a fishing trip with friends over the weekend and you are now returning home at night. However, you are not so alone on the long unusual road. More than one terrifying things lurk between the trees and in the shadows... Can you survive the horrors of the night long enough to get home?

[Author's Note: Still a work in progress, will be published once done]

Hello! on 3/23/2022 12:06:39 PM

Lol I guess a bit of both? I like drawing myself although most of my drawings sucks and never turn out the way I expect. I guess I just don't practice enough. :)

Overlord Anime & CYS on 3/18/2022 2:38:45 PM

Lmao CYS is so popular that even animes have already ripped off the site!

I watched Overlord a while back but I got bored and dropped it a few episodes in so I have no idea what season two is about.

1. It seems you've managed to figure out how to add pictures! Congrats! by the way, I like your profile picture. It looks really well drawn!
2. Don't worry about the motivation, we all get stuck and distracted sometimes. I'm also having the same problem. I guess the solution is to try to write as much as you can when you get a nice inspiration or idea so that way you can get a flow going. Once you've written a few pages of your story, it will seem a lot easier to concentrate. Also I find that writing is a lot easier if it's about something I like or enjoy.

I hope you found this a bit helpful, I'm not very good at giving advice. If you have any more questions about story writing, let me know and I'll try my best to help :)

3. If it's difficult to write a whole complete story, welcome to the gang mate! I'm having the exact same problem.

Lol don't worry, anyone can make a good story even if it's unprofessional. I'm not sure if emoticons and emojis and emoticons work on this site but I think it's quite normal to use it. I'm quite young myself (I'm 15) so I can relate a bit.

By the way, I love your artstyle, it looks really cool! Do you think you could teach me sometime?

Graham Greetings on 3/16/2022 10:54:36 PM

Thank you, I'm very grateful for the kind words. I'm crying tears of joy since you are the very first person to comprehend the full extent and meaning of my username.

Your profile and bio is just as majestic and relatable, it's the perfect summary of my life in three words. However, I'm sure with your incredible writing style and way with words, you will be quite a successful author, as even your forum posts are enjoyable to read.

I'm also ecstatic to see that you're interested in my storygames. I've made a bit of good progress on Burning Metal which was greatly inspired by Ogre11's Spy Mission, however it is as you say, horror games are quite hard to make. However, both should be done soon I hope, perhaps in a couple of weeks. Or a couple of months. Likewise, I'm just as excited to find out more about your storygames and to see what kind of exquisite writing you will make.

Your definition of creative collaborations is quite accurate.I love creative collaborations and I'm down always down for it as well although it does give us all headaches (most of the time, I'm the one giving everyone else headaches). However it's quite fun to do with close friends or people who you understand well since you can adapt to each other's writing styles and add ideas one might have missed.

??Live long and prosper my fellow Trekkie! Welcome to CYS!
Edit: Just realized emojis don't work here. Damn.

Graham Greetings on 3/15/2022 11:35:57 PM

Greetings, new member! Welcome to CYS! I must say, I'm quite impressed by your incredible introduction.

It's an honor to have someone with incredible vocabulary as a new member and I look forward to reading your future works and stories and hope that you won't ditch the computer in a few weeks. If the CYS interface or something confuses you, feel free to ask a question, although most of the stuff might have already been covered on the Help & Info page. I'm sure your stories will be as impressive as your first introduction. Good luck on your stories!

btw I don't speak Klingon well so you might have to write your stories in either standard English or Vulcan

Jokes aside, welcome to the site and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Hello! on 3/12/2022 7:22:30 AM

Welcome to the site! I'm new myself, just joined some days ago. Try reading a few stories if you haven't yet, it really helps to get a general idea of what to expect before writing your own. If you've already read some, that's excellent! I'll be looking forward to reading your stories once you've finished :)

Also, don't worry about being cringey, just be yourself. Writing feels better when you write in your own way without worrying about what others will think.

I hope you enjoy your time on this site!

Ah yeah, I keep forgetting to rate after trying to find all the endings. I like reading any kind of fiction though.
