Hi. Thanks for reading my profile (unless your a stalker... well, if your a cool stalker, feel free to continue). I like to read, and I'm always inventing backstories for everything under the sun! I don't consider myself the best-best-best writer, but I'm not the worst-worst writer either (maybe the worst, but not the worst-worst :P). So, I hope I'm here for a while, and I hope you enjoy whatever weird worlds and universes I come up with!
Storygames
A story set in medieval times. In all honesty, I'm still developing some of the mechanics, so I can't say what all your options will be for now, but I wanted to make it so that you had many choices, and that there are consequences to your actions. I also wanted a fluid world, so certain major events that are not sparked by the player may still occur with or without your choosing to intervene or to enquire about them at a given time (where you may simply be briefed on an event through word-of-mouth - which of course means the news will be tainted by the opinion of the relater).
This is my first story game, and it's really so that I can get accustomed to the options available in making storygames. But I still want to put in as much work as possible to through the reader into an actual universe. It's set in a fictitious land. Form your opinions of the politics, the factions, the people, and let it drive your actions.

String type variables on 10/1/2017 11:30:00 PMHi, don't know if this was suggested, but what if there was a variable for strings that allowed the player to type something in a textbox and store it as a variable. Not absolutely dire, but it might be fun.

Yes I'm quickly realising that lol. I have to keep track of timelines that shift sooo dramatically between choices. I want the story to have persistent events that happen wether or not the player is involved so yh that is a big deal. Thanks for the info!

Thanks, I really am. Thing is, I'm a programming major and I love to write, so this just fits so perfectly!

Also, I've been wondering; when creating a story with multiple options, do people find it better to complete an entire branch first (up until some reasonable checkpoint), then come back and write the other options, or is it best to write all the options progressively, layer by layer? Don't know if that's been asked before, sorry, new... lol
