Hello and welcome to my profile page. There isn't much here for now but I hope that in time it will change. First some information about me. I am male, completely blind and Canadian. My favourite passtimes include reading, playing video games, and all the usual stuff like hanging with friends and watching tv. Things I don't like include bad grammer [even though my grammer isn't that great], narrow minded people who are quick to judge others and when you are told to do something for no reason at all E.G. learn something that you'll never use in future. Oh yes I also hate braille; it's tedius, slow, and altogether very frustrating. I instead prefer to use a speech synthesizer called job access with speech [jaws]. Favourite video games In no particular order. legend of Zelda series Fable 1 [and I hope that fable 2 will be just as good if not better] Mario series [sure they're a little childish, but come on! They're just plane fun and nintendo kind of gets to you after a while] Alter Ego [an online text based game where you start out as in infant and if you're lucky make it to an old age and eventually die] Jigsaw [an amazing text based game where you find yourself locked in a time machine and have to travel to different historical events in the 20th century in order to preserve history. The story is very emotional, exciting, and funny at moments as you experience first hand the terrors of WWII, the Titanic, and so on. Elder scrolls 4 oblivean [all I can say about this game is that it's simpley amazing. Takes too much time to explain here I'm afraid]. Favourite Songs: Sakura iro by Angela Aki Mario theme by Koji Kondo Zelda theme by Koji Kondo Melodies of life by nobuo uematsu
Eyes on me by Nobuo Uematsp>
Senm no Katoba [1000 words] by Nobuo Uematsu
Fight for freedom by manowar Swords in the wind by manowar Sakura iro mau koro by Mika Nakashima And many others Favourite Books Cloud of sparrows by Takashi Matsuoka Arigon by Christopher Paolini Sword of truth series by Terry Goodkind That's about all I can think of about me for now. I have a lot of ideas for stories so I'm going to sort those out and start with something small like a quiz on myself. If anyone wants to talk to me my msn is [email protected] and my skype is hartnett54. I would really like to talk to an experienced user of the advanced editor so I can learn how to use it to its full potential. Until next time. Doseki [warrior of stone]Recent Posts
Doseki, our blind resident. on 4/12/2008 8:33:28 PMOh it was no problem really infact it was a little fun. And the teacher's usually pretty good didn't spend the first 5 hours going over hundreds of safety issues. That becomes quite tiresome after a while.

No not really you're held up with a rope attached to a harness so no problems as long as the guy holding the other end of the rope is lighter than you are. I once had to hold up a guy about twice my weight and when he slipped and fell off the wall I was hanging in the air and he was on the ground. Lol the teacher I heard got into some trouble for it.

Thanks. I have now moved onto rock climbing which I prefer to swimming as I'm much better at it. And I'm happy there aren't any competitions for rock climbing as being timed on all your races and being compared to everyone else constantly can be grating on my nerves.

It isn't as bad as you think really, although it can be annoying. For example I recently found out about a really cool game called dwarf fortress which didn't use graphics anyway only to find out I couldn't play it and the dev said it would be far too difficult to make it accessible, but there are plenty of games I can play. I mostly play rts and rpg games with a few action titles my favourites being oblivion, call of duty 4, mass affect, fable, and the legend of zelda series. I have however had some problems with story development lately as my computer has difficulty reading some of the buttons and edit boxes. I'll keep working at it though even if work is going along a little slowly.

Performing, but it isn't as impressive as I first stated sorry about that. It was only for kids from 14 to 18 in Ontario and I was in the section for blind swimmers of which there were 28. I came in third, but again not so great as I'm the slowest swimmer on my team by about 20 seconds and most of the blind people swimming had mental problems also.

Alright thanks. I'll make sure and mention the name of all of the music and who wrote it and where I got it from. I'm not sure how the advanced editor will work for me though so I'll have to take a look at that. I know this might sound like a lot, but if I can't quite do all the code for the stuff in the advanced editor, could someone please assist me in adding the variables and stuff I want to add so I can still have the same depth and complexity I'll try to aquire with my later stories? I'll add you as a co-author so you can do this. Thanks.

I have heard that it is possible to attach videos to the pages of your stories on this site so that when you enter the page the video plays, however I would obviously have some difficulty with that since it would be difficult for me to set up the camera and all of that stuff. However I was thinking of instead just attaching some music to certain pages of my stories or links to other sites with the music so that we would not get into trouble because of all the copyright stuff. Also I was thinking of putting links to youtube videos for certain parts of my story. For example I was thinking of making a story which is a fanfiction of "Legend of Zelda the Ocarina of Time", but with a much darker theme and with a lot more realism. The way I think the game should've been in the first place. I would want to show the videos so that people who have not played the game could see what it is like in order to understand what I am talking about. Do you think my ideas are solid, or should I be more careful with the music and things like that (I really don't want to get choose your story caught in any trouble with copyright issues). Thanks for your input.

Ya sorry for my absents I've been quite busy in the last few weeks with the Ontario swimming championships, my birthday, and I just got back 2 hours ago from a trip to quebec with my sister so there's been a lot going on. I have the next week for the most part off though so unless something unexpected comes up I'm around.
