This is so freakin annoying.
Go to anyone's profile, look at their story descriptions, and this is what the site puts in in place of apostrophes. Is there any way to make it not do this because it's such an ugly mess.
Lol it only encodes the title of this post as an actual apostrophe.

It absolutely is annoying, but I doubt there's a fix or that the admins think it worthy of making one.
