There have been a few people who I sent a duel request to, and they never replyed, didn't even decline it. So I lost the points for no reason. I don't think you should lose any points until after the duel.

The points are placed in escrow. If you receive no reply after 72h, the duel is canceled and the points are returend.

This is done to prevent "over dueling" and extending your points into the negatives.
