What if you get a point for rating a game, then you can comment with at least, say, 30 characters, and get an extra point?
That's a good idea. But some people will insist that it will open the gateway to trolls.
Some people use their comments to just vent their opinions on the genre of a story, instead of story quality. So...my vote would have to be not to reward such behavior. On the other hand, it would be nice to be able to reward someone a point for a particularly helpful comment (positive or negative criticism) out of your own point pool.
Easily manipulated as well.
I think it'd just make sense to ask an admin/mod to feature a comment you really like :P
It looks like you only get points for a Featured Comment if an admin manually adds them.
I wonder if a comment is worth featuring if it is just helpful criticism, benefiting only the author and not potential readers.
