Point-based moderation: As far as I know, moderation is currently tied with having a trophy to award, and the March's requirements for getting your own trophy are in Fleshy's article here. Those are probably better guidelines than doing it purely on points. (As for my current moderation powers, you can choose to remove those if you wish. On one hand I have no trophy to award and was only given powers to help JJJ during a period where there weren't many active moderators, and on the other (it seems) I'm doing the job well and being in a different time zone has helped in the past regarding trolls.)
There was discussion in Mod Central about leaving messages on deleted posts and comments, so I'll assume your post there will overrule this suggestion.
I'm for moderators deciding the maturity ratings of storygames. Length should be determined by a formula, like it is now. I think difficulty should be decided by members (ie. members have the option of rating how difficult they found the storygame to be after rating it).
Every deletion (and move?) and now edit by a moderator is logged, so for checks and balances Alex can look at that list. If you'd rather have other moderators check over deleted forum posts and storygame comments, you could make the moderation log viewable by all moderators?
