Specifically I can get past the point where the android tutor confronts you when you are discovered in the father's office
Teacher, being metallic, is pretty much invulnerable to any strength or speed based attacks. Heat and/or cold ar much more effective.
I also need help with the part where you face eve in battle
There are two ways to end that fight, killing her or sparing her. Killing her is pretty straightforward, focus on using strength and speed attacks. Sparing her requires you to, again, use temperature attacks.
I know but does killing her either way mean you fail?
No, it just means you get a different ending.
What do you need help with?
PS In my opinion, it's one of the easiest games on the site, mainly because the most obvious bad choices lead to death or a bad ending near the end.
